遂起、食而飲、賴此食之力、行四十晝夜、至天主之山何烈、

So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.

So he got up. He ate and drank. The food gave him new strength. He traveled for 40 days and 40 nights. He kept going until he arrived at Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

And he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mount of God.

耶稣禁食了四十昼夜，后来就饿了。

受魔鬼的试探四十天。在那些日子里，耶稣什么也没有吃，四十天结束的时候，他就饿了。

他在旷野里四十天，受撒旦的试探。他与野兽在一起，并有天使们伺候他。

“你们当记念我仆人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山吩咐他给全体以色列人的律例和法规。看哪！在耶和华大而可畏的日子来到之前，我必派遣先知以利亚到你们那里去。

十天结束后，他们的样貌看起来比所有吃王美食的年轻人更加美好肥壮。

但他对我说：“我的恩典是够你用的，因为我的大能在软弱中得以完全。”因此，我反而极其乐意地夸耀我的那些软弱，好让基督的能力遮盖在我身上。
