He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again.

Elijah looked around. Near his head he saw some bread. It had been baked over hot coals. A jar of water was also there. So Elijah ate and drank. Then he lay down again.

And he looked, and behold, there was at his head a cake baked on hot stones and a jar of water. And he ate and drank and lay down again.

He looked around and there beside his head was some bread baked on hot stones and a jar of water! So he ate and drank and lay down again.

Then he looked, and there at his head was a loaf of bread baked over hot stones, and a jug of water. So he ate and drank and lay down again.

He looked and right there by his head was a cake baking on hot coals and a jug of water. He ate and drank and then slept some more.

於是，魔鬼離開了耶穌，立刻有天使來伺候他。

烏鴉早上給他叼餅和肉來，晚上也有餅和肉，他又喝溪裏的水。

「你起身到西頓的撒勒法去，住在那裏，看哪，我已吩咐那裏的一個寡婦供養你。」以利亞就起身往撒勒法去。他到了城門，看哪，有一個寡婦在那裏撿柴。以利亞呼喚她說：「請你用器皿取點水來給我喝。」她去取水的時候，以利亞又呼喚她說：「請你手裏也拿點餅來給我。」她說：「我指着永生的耶和華－你的神起誓，我沒有餅，罈內只有一把麵，瓶裏只有一點油。看哪，我去找兩根柴，帶回家為我和我兒子做餅。我們吃了，就等死吧！」以利亞對她說：「不要怕！你去照你所說的做吧！只要先為我做一個小餅，拿來給我，然後為你和你的兒子做餅；因為耶和華－以色列的神如此說：『罈內的麵必不用盡，瓶裏的油必不短缺，直到耶和華使雨降在地上的日子。』」婦人就照以利亞的話去做。她和以利亞，以及她家中的人，吃了許多日子。

「我憐憫這羣人，因為他們同我在這裏已經三天，沒有吃的東西了。我若叫他們餓着回家，他們會在路上餓昏，因為其中有從遠處來的。」

你當倚靠耶和華而行善，安居地上，以他的信實為糧；

他們上了岸，看見那裏有炭火，上面有魚和餅。

耶穌就對他們說：「孩子們！你們有吃的沒有？」他們回答他：「沒有。」

這都是外邦人所求的。你們需要這一切東西，你們的天父都知道。

這人必居高處，他的保障是磐石的堡壘，必有糧食賜給他，飲水也不致斷絕。
