我本来想把他留在我这里，使他在我为福音被囚禁时，可以替你服事我。

他们到了撒拉米，就在犹太人的各会堂里宣讲神的道，还有约翰作他们的助手。

耶和华对摩西说：“你要拣选嫩的儿子约书亚，他心里有圣灵，你要按手在他头上，叫他站在以利亚撒祭司和全体会众面前，当他们的面委派他。你要把你的尊荣给他几分，好叫以色列全体会众都听从他。

约沙法说：“这里不是有一位耶和华的先知吗？我们可以托他求问耶和华。”以色列王的一位臣仆说：“这里有沙法的儿子以利沙，他从前是服事以利亚的（“他从前是服事以利亚的”原文作“他从前倒水在以利亚手上”）。”
