So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say,“ May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them.”

So Jezebel sent a message to Elijah. She said,“ You can be sure that I will kill you, just as I killed the other prophets. I’ll do it by this time tomorrow. If I don’t, may the gods punish me greatly.”

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying,“ So may the gods do to me and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.”

So Jezebel sent this message to Elijah:“ May the gods strike me and even kill me if by this time tomorrow I have not killed you just as you killed them.”

So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying,“ May the gods punish me and do so severely if I don’t make your life like the life of one of them by this time tomorrow!”

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying,“ So may the gods do to me and more so, if by about this time tomorrow I do not make your life like the life of one of them.”

Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah with this warning,“ May the gods judge me severely if by this time tomorrow I do not take your life as you did theirs!”

Then Ben-Hadad sent to him and said,“ The gods do so to me, and more also, if enough dust is left of Samaria for a handful for each of the people who follow me.”

Then he said,“ God do so to me and more also, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat remains on him today!”

Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.”

So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison.

“ Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying:‘ Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying,“ Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”Look! You have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by utterly destroying them; and shall you be delivered?Have the gods of the nations delivered those whom my fathers have destroyed, Gozan and Haran and Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar?

The enemy said,‘ I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.’

Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Then news came to Joab, for Joab had defected to Adonijah, though he had not defected to Absalom. So Joab fled to the tabernacle of the Lord, and took hold of the horns of the altar.
