在以色列族中、我遺七千人、身未嘗曲跽巴力、手未嘗接吻以為禮。

我在以色列人中遺留七千人、即未嘗向巴力屈膝者、未嘗與巴力接吻者、

Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel— all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.”

But I will keep 7,000 people in Israel for myself. They have not bowed down to Baal. And they have not kissed him.”

Yet I will leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”

Yet I will preserve 7,000 others in Israel who have never bowed down to Baal or kissed him!”

I still have left in Israel seven thousand followers who have not bowed their knees to Baal or kissed the images of him.”

但神怎樣回答他呢？“我為自己留下了七千人，是沒有向巴力屈膝的。”因此，現在也是這樣，按著恩典的揀選，還有剩下的餘數。

若不是萬軍之耶和華給我們留下一些生還者，我們早已像所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣了。

到那日，以色列的餘民和雅各家逃脫的人，必不再倚靠那擊打他們的，卻要誠實地倚靠耶和華以色列的聖者。那些餘民，就是雅各家的餘民，必回轉歸向大能的神。以色列啊！你的人民雖然像海沙那樣多，卻只有餘剩的人可以歸回，因為滅絕的事已經定了，公義必如洪水氾濫。

現在他們犯罪越來越多，為自己做鑄像，按著自己的技巧，用自己的銀子做偶像；這些都是匠人的手工。他們論到這些說：“向偶像獻祭的人，可以親吻牛犢。”

你們要用嘴親吻子，否則他一發怒，你們就在路上滅亡，因為他的怒氣快要發作。凡是投靠他的，都是有福的。

列國的君王要作你的養父，他們的王后必作你的保姆；他們必臉伏於地向你下拜，舐你腳上的塵土。那麼，你就知道我是耶和華，那些仰望我的決不會羞愧。”

使天上、地上和地底下的一切，因著耶穌的名，都要屈膝，

不可跪拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華你們的神是忌邪的神；恨惡我的，我必追討他們的罪，從父親到兒子，直到三四代。

這樣，你為甚麼批評你的弟兄呢？為甚麼又輕看你的弟兄呢？我們都要站在神的審判臺前；因為經上記著：“主說，我指著我的永生起誓：萬膝必向我跪拜，萬口必稱頌神。”這樣看來，我們各人都要把自己的事向神交代。

以致心中暗暗地受到迷惑，用自己的嘴親手；
