神立、其狀貌不能辨識、第見象懸目前、聲細不揚、我聞其言曰、

耶和華論所羅把伯、云萬有之主耶和華曰、非以能力、乃以我神、

我之威不足以惕爾、我之權不足以制爾。

其時、爾眾來前、立於山下、其山之象幽深立遠、厥火炎炎、至凌霄漢。耶和華由火中諭爾、惟聞其聲、不睹其像、

過摩西前曰、耶和華全能之上帝、仁慈矜憫、恆忍施恩、真實無妄、

耶和華之使、於棘火焰中顯現。摩西見棘焚而不燬、

蓋我之上帝、如火之燎焉、

日入幽暗、時有烟燄之洪爐、已燃之明燈、由牲牷中而過、

忽自天有聲、如奮迅之風、充滿坐室、

耶和華遂降火、燬其燔祭、以及其柴、其石、其土、溝中之水亦涸。

以利亞對曰、如我為上帝之僕、願火自天降、燬爾及五十卒、於是自天降火、燬五十夫長及卒。

然則舉以色列家宜確知、爾所釘之耶穌、上帝立之為主、為基督矣、○眾聞此言中心如刺、問彼得及餘使徒曰、兄弟、我當何為、

仍與偕行、言間、忽有車馬、如火炎炎、間隔二人、以利亞乘大風而昇天。
