忽有聲自天如烈風衝突、充乎所坐之室、

耶和華之火遂降、焚其燔祭、以及其柴、其石、其塵土、亦涸溝中之水、

以利亞謂五十夫長曰、如我為上帝僕、願火從天降、燬滅爾及爾之五十人、於是火降自天、燬滅五十夫長、暨五十人、

夫以色列全室、宜確知之、爾所釘十架之耶穌、上帝已立之為主、為基督矣、○眾聞之、心中如刺、謂彼得與諸使徒曰、兄弟乎、我當何為、

二人且行且語、忽有火車火馬間之、以利亞乘旋風升天、
