那灵站住，我辨不出他的形状，只见有一形象在我眼前，然后我听见低微的声音，说：

有没有一个民族听见神在火中说话的声音，像你听见的一样，还能活着呢？

我的威严必不惊吓你，我的压力也不加重在你身上。

日落天黑的时候，忽然有冒烟的炉和烧着的火把，从那些肉块中经过。

忽然有一阵好像强风吹过的响声，从天而来，充满了他们坐在里面的整间屋子。

于是有耶和华的火降下来，吞灭了燔祭、木柴、石头和尘土，连沟里的水也烧干了。

以利亚回答五十夫长说：“如果我是神人，愿火从天降下，把你和你的五十名手下吞灭。”于是有火从天降下，吞灭了五十夫长和他的五十名手下。

因此，以色列全家应当确实知道，你们钉在十字架上的这位耶稣，神已经立他为主为基督了。”他们听了以后，觉得扎心，就对彼得和其余的使徒说：“弟兄们，我们应当作什么呢？”

他们边走边谈的时候，忽然，有火车火马把他们二人分开，以利亚就在旋风中被接往天上去了。
