Therefore you will not leave the bed you lie on, for you will certainly die.”’”The king asked them,“ Describe the appearance of this man who came up to meet you and told you these things.”They replied,“ He was a hairy man and had a leather belt tied around his waist.” The king said,“ He is Elijah the Tishbite.”

When the servant had left, David got up from beside the mound, knelt with his face to the ground, and bowed three times. Then they kissed each other and they both wept, especially David.

Judah replied,“ What can we say to my lord? What can we speak? How can we clear ourselves? God has exposed the sin of your servants! We are now my lord’s slaves, we and the one in whose possession the cup was found.”

“ So now, please let your servant remain as my lord’s slave instead of the boy. As for the boy, let him go back with his brothers.
