Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.

Black clouds filled the sky. The wind came up, and a heavy rain began to fall. Ahab rode off to Jezreel.

And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.

And soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm, and Ahab left quickly for Jezreel.

In a little while, the sky grew dark with clouds and wind, and there was a downpour. So Ahab got in his chariot and went to Jezreel.

論到耶洗別，耶和華說：『狗必在耶斯列的城郭吃耶洗別。

他們的地界是到耶斯列、基蘇律、書念、

約瑟的子孫說：「那山區容不下我們，而且住平原的迦南人，就是住伯‧善和所屬的鄉鎮，以及住在耶斯列平原的人，都有鐵的戰車。」

立他作王，治理基列、亞書利、耶斯列、以法蓮、便雅憫和以色列眾人。

於是耶戶駕戰車往耶斯列去，因為約蘭臥病在那裏。猶大王亞哈謝已經下去看望他。

這些事以後，又有一事。耶斯列人拿伯在耶斯列有一個葡萄園，靠近撒瑪利亞，亞哈王的宮。

他們將掃羅和他兒子約拿單的骸骨葬在便雅憫的洗拉，在掃羅父親基士的墳墓裏。他們遵照王所吩咐的一切做了。此後上帝垂聽了為那地的祈求。

跟這以色列人進入帳棚，刺穿了二人，就是以色列人和那女子的肚腹。這樣，以色列人遭受的瘟疫就停止了。

眾百姓看見了，就臉伏於地，說：「耶和華是上帝！耶和華是上帝！」以利亞對他們說：「拿住巴力的先知，不讓任何人逃走！」眾人就拿住他們。以利亞帶他們到基順河邊，在那裏殺了他們。
