宜各自言其罪、代之祈禱、以望疾瘳、蓋義者勤求無已、獲益不淺、以利亞與我儕有同情、昔求不雨、果旱、歷三載有半、厥後求雨、而天降甘霖、草木甲坼、

曰、我上帝歟、予覺赧然、不敢仰視、蓋我眾罪惡滔天、幾至滅頂。

大闢緣子祈禱上帝、入內禁食、竟夕俯伏於地。
