他遣散了人群以後，就獨自上山去禱告。到了晚上，只有他一個人在那裡。

撒拉弗侍立在他的上方，各有六個翅膀；用兩個翅膀遮臉，兩個翅膀遮腳，兩個翅膀飛翔。

在聖者的會中，他是大受敬畏的神；他比他四圍的一切都更可畏。

就在那些日子裡，耶穌有一次出去到山上禱告；他整夜向神禱告。

所以你們當彼此認罪，彼此代求，好使你們得痊癒。義人所做的祈禱是大有力量的。以利亞和我們同樣是人，但他用禱告來祈求不要降雨，果然地上三年零六個月沒有降雨。後來他又禱告，天就降下雨水，地也產出果實來。

大衛為孩子向神祈求，並且禁食，進了房躺在地上過夜。

亞伯拉罕的僕人聽見他們這話，就俯伏於地向耶和華下拜。

耶穌稍往前走，俯伏在地，禱告說，如果有可能，讓那時刻離開他。
