and Ahab had summoned Obadiah, his palace administrator.( Obadiah was a devout believer in the Lord.

Ahab had sent for Obadiah. He was in charge of Ahab’s palace. Obadiah had great respect for the Lord.

And Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household.( Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly,

So Ahab summoned Obadiah, who was in charge of the palace.( Obadiah was a devoted follower of the Lord.

And Ahab had called Obadiah, who was in charge of his house.( Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly.

And Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household.( Now Obadiah feared Jehovah greatly:

And Ahab called Obadiah, which[ was] the governor of[ his] house.( Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly:

So Ahab summoned Obadiah, who supervised the palace.( Now Obadiah was a very loyal follower of the LORD.

Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household.( Now Obadiah feared Yahweh greatly;

那時，敬畏耶和華的人彼此談論，耶和華留心垂聽。那些敬畏耶和華、尊重他名的人，在他面前都被記錄在一本記念冊上。

第三天，約瑟對他們說：「我是敬畏神的，你們這樣做就可以活命：

因著敬畏耶和華，人有堅固的依賴；他的兒女也有避難所。

那僕人從他主人的駱駝群中取來十頭駱駝，拿著他主人的各樣美物就出發了；他起身往美索不達米亞，去拿鶴的城。

使者說：「不可向這少年下手，什麼也不可對他做！現在我知道你是敬畏神的，因為你沒有把你的兒子，就是你的獨生子，留下不給我。」

你要管理我的家；我所有的子民都要順從你的話；只有在寶座上的我比你大。」

你們不要怕那些能殺死身體卻不能殺死靈魂的；反而倒要懼怕那位能把靈魂和身體都毀滅在地獄裡的。

亞伯拉罕對管理他所有家業、家中最大的僕人說：「請你把手放在我大腿底下，

約瑟就在他主人的眼前蒙恩，事奉他的主人。他主人指派他管理自己的家，把自己所擁有的一切都交在他的手中。自從波提乏指派約瑟管理家和所擁有的一切，耶和華就因約瑟的緣故祝福了那埃及人的家；無論在家裡或在田間，他所擁有的一切都蒙耶和華的祝福。

原來在各民族中，那敬畏神而行義的人，都是神所悅納的。

在這家裡沒有比我大的；除你以外，他沒有留下一樣不給我，因你是他的妻子。我怎能行此大惡對神犯罪呢？」

他是個敬虔的人，與全家都敬畏神；他慷慨地賙濟民眾，常常向神禱告。
