Then Elijah said to them,“ I am the only one of the Lord’s prophets left, but Baal has four hundred and fifty prophets.

因為時候將到，人們容忍不了健全的教義，反要順著自己的欲望，為自己的耳朵能被呵癢得舒服，去召聚許多教師。他們將掩耳不聽真理，卻轉向編造的故事。

不過，在子民當中也出現過假先知；照樣，在你們當中也會有假教師。他們會偷偷引進使人滅亡的異端，甚至否認那救贖他們的主，給自己招來快速的滅亡。許多人會隨從他們好色的事；真理之道也會因他們的緣故，受到褻瀆。他們因著貪心，會用捏造的話利用你們。對他們的懲罰，從太古的時候就沒有失效，他們的滅亡也不耽延。

「主啊，他們殺了你的先知們，拆毀了你的祭壇，只剩下我一個人，他們還要追索我的命。」

「你們要從窄門進去；因為那通向滅亡的門是大的，那條路是寬的，從那裡進去的人也多；然而，那通向永生的門是多麼小，路是多麼窄，找到它的人是多麼少。「你們要提防假先知。他們披著羊皮來到你們這裡，裡面卻是凶殘的狼。
