Then Elijah said to them,“ I am the only one of the Lord’s prophets left, but Baal has four hundred and fifty prophets.

因为时候将到，人们容忍不了健全的教义，反要顺着自己的欲望，为自己的耳朵能被呵痒得舒服，去召聚许多教师。他们将掩耳不听真理，却转向编造的故事。

不过，在子民当中也出现过假先知；照样，在你们当中也会有假教师。他们会偷偷引进使人灭亡的异端，甚至否认那救赎他们的主，给自己招来快速的灭亡。许多人会随从他们好色的事；真理之道也会因他们的缘故，受到亵渎。他们因着贪心，会用捏造的话利用你们。对他们的惩罚，从太古的时候就没有失效，他们的灭亡也不耽延。

“主啊，他们杀了你的先知们，拆毁了你的祭坛，只剩下我一个人，他们还要追索我的命。”

“你们要从窄门进去；因为那通向灭亡的门是大的，那条路是宽的，从那里进去的人也多；然而，那通向永生的门是多么小，路是多么窄，找到它的人是多么少。“你们要提防假先知。他们披着羊皮来到你们这里，里面却是凶残的狼。
