以利亞近前來對眾百姓說：「你們心持二意要到幾時呢？如果耶和華是神，就當順從耶和華；如果是巴力，就當順從巴力。」百姓一言不答。

以利亚前来对众民说：“你们心持两意要到几时呢？若耶和华是神，就当顺从耶和华；若巴力是神，就当顺从巴力。”众民一言不答。

以利亚近前来对众百姓说：“你们心持二意要到几时呢？如果耶和华是上帝，就当顺从耶和华；如果是巴力，就当顺从巴力。”百姓一言不答。

以利亚近前来对众百姓说：“你们心持二意要到几时呢？如果耶和华是神，就当顺从耶和华；如果是巴力，就当顺从巴力。”百姓一言不答。

以利亚走到众人面前说：“你们三心二意要到什么时候呢？如果耶和华是上帝，你们当跟从祂；如果巴力是上帝，你们就跟从他吧！”他们都默不作声。

以利亚走近众人说：“你们三心两意，要到几时呢？如果耶和华是神，你们就应当随从耶和华；如果巴力是神，你们就应当随从巴力。”众人一句话也不回答。

以利亞湊近眾民面前，說：『你們猶豫於兩可之間、要到幾時呢？如果永恆主是上帝，你們就應該隨從永恆主；如果巴力是上帝，你們就隨從巴力好啦。』眾民一句話也不回答。

以利亞前謂民眾曰、爾持兩端、躊躇莫決、將至何時、如以耶和華為上帝、則從之、如以巴力為上帝、則從彼、民不答一詞、

以利亞至民前曰、爾曹執持兩端、躊躇未決、將伊於何底乎。如以耶和華為上帝、則從耶和華、如以巴力為上帝、則從巴力。斯民無言以對。

以利亞至民眾前曰、爾曹心持二意、何時乃己、如以主為天主、則從主、如以巴力為天主、則從巴力、民不答一言、

Elijah went before the people and said,“ How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing.

Elijah went there and stood in front of the people. He said,“ How long will it take you to make up your minds? If the Lord is the one and only God, worship him. But if Baal is the one and only God, worship him.” The people didn’t say anything.

And Elijah came near to all the people and said,“ How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word.

Then Elijah stood in front of them and said,“ How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent.

Then Elijah approached all the people and said,“ How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him. But if Baal, follow him.” But the people didn’t answer him a word.

Then Elijah approached all the people and said,“ How long are you going to struggle with the two choices? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him so much as a word.

And Elijah came to all the people, and said,“ How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

And Elijah came near unto all the people, and said, How long go ye limping between the two sides? if Jehovah be God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Then Elijah approached all the people and said,“ How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If Yahweh is God, follow Him. But if Baal, follow him.” But the people didn’t answer him a word.

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD[ be] God, follow him: but if Baal,[ then] follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Elijah approached all the people and said,“ How long are you going to be paralyzed by indecision? If the LORD is the true God, then follow him, but if Baal is, follow him!” But the people did not say a word.

Elijah came near to all the people, and said,“ How long will you waver between the two sides? If Yahweh is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” The people didn’t say a word.

「一個人不能服侍兩個主；他不是恨這個愛那個，就是重這個輕那個。你們不能又服侍神，又服侍瑪門。」

若你們認為事奉耶和華不好，今日就可以選擇所要事奉的：是你們列祖在大河那邊所事奉的神明，或是你們所住這地亞摩利人的神明呢？至於我和我家，我們必定事奉耶和華。」

你們不能喝主的杯，又喝鬼的杯；不能吃主的筵席，又吃鬼的筵席。我們要惹主的嫉恨嗎？我們比他更強嗎？

你們不要和不信的人同負一軛。義和不義有甚麼相關？光明和黑暗有甚麼相連？基督和彼列有甚麼相和？信主的和不信主的有甚麼相干？神的殿和偶像有甚麼相同？因為我們是永生神的殿，就如神曾說：「我要在他們中間居住來往；我要作他們的神，他們要作我的子民。」

這樣，這些國家又懼怕耶和華，又事奉他們的偶像。他們子子孫孫也都照樣行，效法他們的祖宗，直到今日。

撒母耳對以色列全家說：「你們若全心回轉歸向耶和華，就要從你們中間除掉外邦的神明和亞斯她錄，預備你們的心歸向耶和華，單單事奉他，他必救你們脫離非利士人的手。」

我知道你的行為，你也不冷也不熱；我巴不得你或冷或熱。既然你如溫水，也不冷也不熱，我要從我口中把你吐出去。

還有那些在屋頂拜天上萬象的，那些敬拜耶和華指着他起誓，卻又指着米勒公起誓的；

這是要顯給你看，使你知道，惟有耶和華他是神，除他以外，再沒有別的了。

眾百姓看見了，就臉伏於地，說：「耶和華是神！耶和華是神！」

「現在，你們要除掉你們中間外邦的神明，專心歸向耶和華－以色列的神。」百姓對約書亞說：「我們必事奉耶和華－我們的神，聽從他的話。」

拉班和彼土利回答說：「這事既然出於耶和華，我們不能向你說好說歹。

當認識耶和華是神！我們是他造的，也是屬他的；我們是他的民，是他草場的羊。

難道你們不知道，你們獻自己作奴僕，順從誰就作誰的奴僕嗎？或作罪的奴隸，以至於死；或作順服的奴僕，以至於成義。感謝神！因為你們從前雖然作罪的奴隸，現在卻從心裏順服了所傳給你們教導的典範。你們既從罪裏得了釋放，就作了義的奴僕。我因你們肉體的軟弱，就以人的觀點來說。你們從前怎樣把肢體獻給不潔不法作奴隸，以至於不法；現在也要照樣將肢體獻給義作奴僕，以至於成聖。因為你們作罪的奴隸時，不被義所約束。那麼，你們現在所看為羞恥的事，當時有甚麼果子呢？那些事的結局就是死。但如今，你們既從罪裏得了釋放，作了神的奴僕，就結出果子，以至於成聖，那結局就是永生。

他祈禱耶和華，耶和華就應允他，垂聽他的禱告，使他歸回耶路撒冷，仍坐王位。瑪拿西這才知道惟獨耶和華是神。

猶大說：「我們對我主能說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們還能為自己表白嗎？神已經查出你僕人的罪孽了。看哪，我們與那在他手中找到杯子的人都是我主的奴隸。」

現在，耶和華啊，惟有你是神！你應許將這福氣賜給僕人。

法利賽人聽見耶穌堵住了撒都該人的口，他們就聚集在一起。

我們知道律法所說的話都是對律法之下的人說的，好塞住各人的口，使普世的人都伏在神的審判之下。

就對他說：『朋友，你到這裏來怎麼不穿禮服呢？』那人無言可答。

後來，摩西和亞倫去對法老說：「耶和華－以色列的神這樣說：『放我的百姓走，好讓他們在曠野向我守節。』」法老說：「耶和華是誰，要我聽他的話，讓以色列人去？我不認識耶和華，也不放以色列人走！」

「老師，律法上的誡命哪一條是最大的呢？」

「看哪，我是卑賤的！我用甚麼回答你呢？我只好用手摀住我的口。我說了一次，就不回答；說了兩次，不再說了。」

到了天亮，他叫門徒來，就從他們中間挑選十二個人，稱他們為使徒。
