But when I leave you, the LORD’s spirit will carry you away so I can’t find you. If I go tell Ahab I’ve seen you, he won’t be able to find you and he will kill me. That would not be fair, because your servant has been a loyal follower of the LORD from my youth.

I don’t know where the Spirit of the Lord may carry you when I leave you. If I go and tell Ahab and he doesn’t find you, he will kill me. Yet I your servant have worshiped the Lord since my youth.

But the Spirit of the Lord might carry you away when I leave you. Then I won’t know where you are. If I go and tell Ahab and he doesn’t find you, he’ll kill me. But I’ve worshiped the Lord ever since I was young.

And as soon as I have gone from you, the Spirit of the Lord will carry you I know not where. And so, when I come and tell Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, although I your servant have feared the Lord from my youth.

But as soon as I leave you, the Spirit of the Lord will carry you away to who knows where. When Ahab comes and cannot find you, he will kill me. Yet I have been a true servant of the Lord all my life.

He stretched out the form of a hand and grabbed me by a lock of hair on my head. Then a wind lifted me up between the earth and sky and brought me to Jerusalem by means of divine visions, to the door of the inner gate which faces north where the statue which provokes to jealousy was located.

and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his ancestor David. In his twelfth year he began ridding Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, Asherah poles, idols, and images.

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Now the boy Samuel was growing up and finding favor both with the LORD and with people.

Then a wind lifted me up and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me as the glory of the LORD rose from its place,and the sound of the living beings’ wings brushing against each other, and the sound of the wheels alongside them, a great rumbling sound.A wind lifted me up and carried me away. I went bitterly, my spirit full of fury, and the hand of the LORD rested powerfully on me.

Now Samuel was ministering before the LORD. The boy was dressed in a linen ephod.

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride and the evil way and perverse utterances.

for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He must never drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth.

When Herod saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, he became enraged. He sent men to kill all the children in Bethlehem and throughout the surrounding region from the age of two and under, according to the time he had learned from the wise men.

Then the king arranged for a meeting with the priest Ahimelech son of Ahitub and all the priests of his father’s house who were at Nob. They all came to the king.Then Saul said,“ Listen, son of Ahitub.” He replied,“ Here I am, my lord.”Saul said to him,“ Why have you conspired against me, you and this son of Jesse? You gave him bread and a sword and inquired of God on his behalf, so that he opposes me and waits in ambush, as is the case today!”Ahimelech replied to the king,“ Who among all your servants is faithful like David? He is the king’s son-in-law, the leader of your bodyguard, and honored in your house!Was it just today that I began to inquire of God on his behalf? Far be it from me! The king should not accuse his servant or any of my father’s house. For your servant is not aware of all this– not in whole or in part!”But the king said,“ You will surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s house!Then the king said to the messengers who were stationed beside him,“ Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, for they too have sided with David! They knew he was fleeing, but they did not inform me.” But the king’s servants refused to harm the priests of the LORD.Then the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and strike down the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests. He killed on that day eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.As for Nob, the city of the priests, he struck down with the sword men and women, children and infants, oxen, donkeys, and sheep– all with the sword.

Then a wind lifted me up and carried me to the exiles in Babylonia, in the vision given to me by the Spirit of God. Then the vision I had seen went up from me.

Samuel continued to grow, and the LORD was with him. None of his prophecies fell to the ground unfulfilled.All Israel from Dan to Beer Sheba realized that Samuel was confirmed as a prophet of the LORD.

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago( whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows) was caught up to the third heaven.And I know that this man( whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows)

In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was struck down, on this very day, the hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me there.By means of divine visions he brought me to the land of Israel and placed me on a very high mountain, and on it was a structure like a city, to the south.

As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a fiery chariot pulled by fiery horses appeared. They went between Elijah and Elisha, and Elijah went up to heaven in a windstorm.

The king replied to the wise men,“ My decision is firm. If you do not inform me of both the dream and its interpretation, you will be dismembered and your homes reduced to rubble!But if you can disclose the dream and its interpretation, you will receive from me gifts, a reward, and considerable honor. So disclose to me the dream and its interpretation!”They again replied,“ Let the king inform us of the dream; then we will disclose its interpretation.”The king replied,“ I know for sure that you are attempting to gain time, because you see that my decision is firm.If you don’t inform me of the dream, there is only one thing that is going to happen to you. For you have agreed among yourselves to report to me something false and deceitful until such time as things might change. So tell me the dream, and I will have confidence that you can disclose its interpretation.”The wise men replied to the king,“ There is no man on earth who is able to disclose the king’s secret, for no king, regardless of his position and power, has ever requested such a thing from any magician, astrologer, or wise man.What the king is asking is too difficult, and no one exists who can disclose it to the king, except for the gods– but they don’t live among mortals!”Because of this the king got furiously angry and gave orders to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.So a decree went out, and the wise men were about to be executed. They also sought Daniel and his friends so that they could be executed.

When Herod had searched for him and did not find him, he questioned the guards and commanded that they be led away to execution. Then Herod went down from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and placed me in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones.

It is best to take hold of one warning without letting go of the other warning; for the one who fears God will follow both warnings.

O God, you have taught me since I was young, and I am still declaring your amazing deeds.Even when I am old and gray, O God, do not abandon me, until I tell the next generation about your strength, and those coming after me about your power.

Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys his servant? Whoever walks in deep darkness, without light, should trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.
