我指着永活的耶和华你的神起誓，没有一邦一国我主人不派人去找你的，人们若是说你不在那里，他就要那国邦起誓说实在找不到你。

As surely as the Lord your God lives, there is not a nation or kingdom where my master has not sent someone to look for you. And whenever a nation or kingdom claimed you were not there, he made them swear they could not find you.

My master has sent people to look for you everywhere. There isn’t a nation or kingdom where he hasn’t sent someone to look for you. Suppose a nation or kingdom would claim you weren’t there. Then Ahab would make them give their word that they couldn’t find you. And that’s just as sure as the Lord your God is alive.

As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. And when they would say,‘ He is not here,’ he would take an oath of the kingdom or nation, that they had not found you.

For I swear by the Lord your God that the king has searched every nation and kingdom on earth from end to end to find you. And each time he was told,‘ Elijah isn’t here,’ King Ahab forced the king of that nation to swear to the truth of his claim.

As the LORD your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent someone to search for you. When they said,‘ He is not here,’ he made that kingdom or nation swear they had not found you.

As Yahweh your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. When they said,‘ He is not here,’ he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they didn’t find you.

提斯比人以利亚，就是从基列的提斯比来的（按照《马索拉文本》，“从基列的提斯比来的”作“基列的寄居者”;现参照《七十士译本》翻译）先知，对亚哈说：“我指着我所事奉永活的耶和华以色列的神起誓，这几年若是没有我的命令，天必不降露，也不下雨。”

王就起誓说：“我指着曾经救我的性命脱离一切患难的永活的耶和华起誓，

于是以利亚去了，照着耶和华的话行了；他去住在约旦河东面的基立溪旁。

于是他们拿起石头要打他。耶稣却躲起来，从殿里出去了。

你把他们藏在你面前的隐密处，免得他们陷在世人的阴谋里；又把他们保护在帐棚内，以免落在口舌的争竞中。

更吩咐王子耶拉篾、亚次列的儿子西莱雅和亚伯叠的儿子示利米雅，去捉拿文士巴录和耶利米先知；但耶和华把他们隐藏起来。

现在，我指着永活的耶和华─那位坚立了我，使我坐在我父亲大卫的王位上，又照他所应许，为我建立家室的─起誓，今天亚多尼雅必被处死！”

亚吉把大卫叫来，对他说：“我指着永活的耶和华说，你是正直的人，你与我在军中出入，我感到很满意，因为自从你到我这里来的那一天，直到今日，我未曾在你身上找到什么过失；只是各首领不喜欢你。

她说：“我指着永活的耶和华你的神起誓，我没有饼，缸里只有一把面粉，瓶里只有一点油。你看我正在捡两根柴，然后回去，为自己和儿子做饼，我们吃完了，就等死。”

曾有一个人，就是基列．耶琳人示玛雅的儿子乌利亚，他奉耶和华的名说预言，攻击这城和这地，他的预言和耶利米所说的一样。约雅敬王和他所有的勇士，以及犹大的众领袖听见了乌利亚的话，王就想要杀他。乌利亚听见了，就惧怕，就逃往埃及去。约雅敬王打发人到埃及去，就是派亚革波的儿子以利拿单和一些人同到埃及去。他们就把乌利亚从埃及带出来，送到约雅敬王那里。王用刀杀死他，把他的尸体抛在平民的坟地里。

住在至高者的隐密处的，必在全能者的荫庇下安居。

以利亚说：“我指着我所服事永活的万军之耶和华起誓，今天我必在亚哈面前出现。”

恶人骄横地追逼困苦人，愿恶人陷入自己所设的阴谋中。

耶和华啊！求你保守我们，保护我们永远脱离这世代的人（按照《马索拉文本》，“我们……我们”作“他们……他”;现参照其他抄本及《七十士译本》翻译）。恶人到处横行，邪恶在世人中被高举。

“你起来，往西顿的撒勒法去，住在那里；我已经吩咐那里的一个寡妇供养你。”
