亲爱的弟兄啊，有火炼的试验临到你们，不要以为奇怪（似乎是遭遇非常的事），

我的弟兄们，你们落在百般试炼中，都要以为大喜乐；因为知道你们的信心经过试验，就生忍耐。但忍耐也当成功，使你们成全、完备，毫无缺欠。

你掩面，它们便惊惶；你收回它们的气，它们就死亡，归于尘土。

“我必将那施恩叫人恳求的灵，浇灌大卫家和耶路撒冷的居民。他们必仰望我，就是他们所扎的；必为我悲哀，如丧独生子，又为我愁苦，如丧长子。

这些事以后，神要试验亚伯拉罕，就呼叫他说：“亚伯拉罕！”他说：“我在这里。”神说：“你带着你的儿子，就是你独生的儿子，你所爱的以撒，往摩利亚地去，在我所要指示你的山上，把他献为燔祭。”

叫你们的信心既被试验，就比那被火试验仍然能坏的金子更显宝贵，可以在耶稣基督显现的时候得着称赞、荣耀、尊贵。

她姐妹两个就打发人去见耶稣，说：“主啊，你所爱的人病了。”耶稣听见，就说：“这病不至于死，乃是为神的荣耀，叫神的儿子因此得荣耀。”

耶稣就明明地告诉他们说：“拉撒路死了。

凡活物的生命和人类的气息都在他手中。

忍受试探的人是有福的，因为他经过试验以后，必得生命的冠冕；这是主应许给那些爱他之人的。

身体没有灵魂是死的，信心没有行为也是死的。
