Elijah said to her,“ Don’t be afraid. Go and do as you planned. But first make a small cake for me and bring it to me; then make something for yourself and your son.

But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

“ Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

For I am the LORD your God, the one who takes hold of your right hand, who says to you,‘ Don’t be afraid, I am helping you.’

Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first fruits of all your crops;

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you! Don’t be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you– yes, I help you– yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand!

Jesus said to him,“ If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”But when the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he was very rich.

You will not fight in this battle. Take your positions, stand, and watch the LORD deliver you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Don’t be afraid and don’t panic! Tomorrow march out toward them; the LORD is with you!’”

So he brought the men down to the water. Then the LORD said to Gideon,“ Separate those who lap the water as a dog laps from those who kneel to drink.”Three hundred men lapped; the rest of the men kneeled to drink water.The LORD said to Gideon,“ With the three hundred men who lapped I will deliver the whole army and I will hand Midian over to you. The rest of the men should go home.”

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. He had received the promises, yet he was ready to offer up his only son.

He replied,“ Don’t be afraid, for our side outnumbers them.”

Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear! Stand firm and see the salvation of the LORD that he will provide for you today; for the Egyptians that you see today you will never, ever see again.

Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold– gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away– and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Some time after these things God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am!” Abraham replied.God said,“ Take your son– your only son, whom you love, Isaac– and go to the land of Moriah! Offer him up there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will indicate to you.”

But the angel said to the women,“ Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

and said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul! You must stand before Caesar, and God has graciously granted you the safety of all who are sailing with you.’

“ Bring the entire tithe into the storehouse so that there may be food in my temple. Test me in this matter,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ to see if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until there is no room for it all.
