Elijah said to her,“ Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son.

Jesus said to him,“ If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.”

So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon,“ Every one who laps the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set by himself. Likewise, every one who kneels down to drink.”And the number of those who lapped, putting their hands to their mouths, was 300 men, but all the rest of the people knelt down to drink water.And the Lord said to Gideon,“ With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.”

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son,

He said,“ Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

And Moses said to the people,“ Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.

so that the tested genuineness of your faith— more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire— may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”He said,“ Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

But the angel said to the women,“ Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

and he said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
