So Elijah went to Zarephath. He came to the town gate. A widow was there gathering sticks. He called out to her. He asked,“ Would you bring me a little water in a jar? I need a drink.”

So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked,“ Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?”

So he went to Zarephath. As he arrived at the gates of the village, he saw a widow gathering sticks, and he asked her,“ Would you please bring me a little water in a cup?”

So Elijah got up and went to Zarephath. When he arrived at the city gate, there was a widow gathering wood. Elijah called to her and said,“ Please bring me a little water in a cup and let me drink.”

So he arose and went to Zarephath, and when he came to the entrance of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks; and he called to her and said,“ Please get me a little water in a cup, so that I may drink.”

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said,“ Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.”

So he arose and went to Zarephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

So Elijah got up and went to Zarephath. When he arrived at the city gate, there was a widow woman gathering wood. Elijah called to her and said,“ Please bring me a little water in a cup and let me drink.”

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman[ was] there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

So he got up and went to Zarephath. When he went through the city gate, there was a widow gathering wood. He called out to her,“ Please give me a cup of water, so I can take a drink.”

So he arose and went to Zarephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her, and said,“ Please get me a little water in a jar, that I may drink.”

A woman from Samaria came to get some water. Jesus said to her,“ Will you give me a drink?”

The servant hurried to meet her. He said,“ Please give me a little water from your jar.”

Some were killed with stones. Some were sawed in two. Some were killed by swords. They went around wearing the skins of sheep and goats. They were poor. They were attacked. They were treated badly.

When the water in the bottle was gone, she put the boy under a bush.

I have worked very hard. Often I have gone without sleep. I have been hungry and thirsty. Often I have gone without food. I have been cold and naked.
