Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.”

Elijah was from Tishbe in the land of Gilead. He said to Ahab,“ I serve the Lord. He is the God of Israel. You can be sure that he lives. And you can be just as sure that there won’t be any dew or rain on the whole land. There won’t be any during the next few years. It won’t come until I say so.”

Now Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.”

Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab,“ As surely as the Lord, the God of Israel, lives— the God I serve— there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word!”

Now Elijah the Tishbite, from the Gilead settlers, said to Ahab,“ As the LORD God of Israel lives, in whose presence I stand, there will be no dew or rain during these years except by my command!”

Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall certainly be neither dew nor rain during these years, except by my word.”

And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”

And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the sojourners of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As Jehovah, the God of Israel, liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

Now Elijah the Tishbite, from the Gilead settlers, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord God of Israel lives, I stand before Him, and there will be no dew or rain during these years except by my command!”

And Elijah the Tishbite,[ who was] of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab,[ As] the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As certainly as the LORD God of Israel lives( whom I serve), there will be no dew or rain in the years ahead unless I give the command.”

Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”

他將有以利亞的精神和能力，走在主的前面，叫父親的心轉向兒女，叫悖逆的人轉向義人的智慧，又為主預備迎接他的百姓。」

米該雅說：「我指着永生的耶和華起誓，耶和華向我說甚麼，我就說甚麼。」

那時，耶和華將利未支派分別出來，抬耶和華的約櫃，又侍立在耶和華面前事奉他，奉他的名祝福，直到今日。

我對你們說實話，在以利亞的時候，天閉塞了三年六個月，遍地有大饑荒，那時，以色列中有許多寡婦，以利亞並沒有奉差往她們中任何一個人那裏去，只奉差往西頓的撒勒法一個寡婦那裏去。

你們要時時警醒，常常祈求，使你們能逃避這一切要來的事，得以站立在人子面前。」

過了許多日子，到了第三年，耶和華的話臨到以利亞，說：「你去，讓亞哈看見你，我要降雨在地面上。」

上帝並沒有棄絕他預先所知道的百姓。你們豈不知道經上論到以利亞是怎麼說的呢？他在上帝面前怎樣控告以色列人說：

天使回答他說：「我是站在上帝面前的加百列，奉差遣來對你說話，把這好信息報給你。

於是耶弗他召集基列所有的人，要與以法蓮人爭戰。基列人擊殺以法蓮人，因以法蓮人曾說：「你們基列人在以法蓮和瑪拿西中，不過是以法蓮逃亡的人而已。」

他們又問他：「那麼，你是誰？是以利亞嗎？」他說：「我不是。」「是那位先知嗎？」他回答：「不是。」

其餘的人說：「且等着，看以利亞來不來救他。」

所以耶和華如此說：「你若回轉，我就使你歸回，站在我面前。你若能將寶物和無用之物分別出來，你就可以當作我的口。他們必歸向你，你卻不可歸向他們。

我指着永生的耶和華－你的上帝起誓，無論哪一邦哪一國，我主都派人去找你。若他們說：『不在這裏』，他就叫那邦那國的人起誓說，他們實在找不到你。

以利亞說：「我指着所事奉永生的萬軍之耶和華起誓，我今日要讓亞哈見到我。」

如果你們願意接受，這人就是那要來的以利亞。

他們就問他：「你既不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼，你為甚麼施洗呢？」

因為他教導他們正像有權柄的人，不像他們的文士。

你舉目向四圍觀看，他們都聚集來到你這裏。我指着我的永生起誓，你定要以他們為妝飾佩戴，帶着他們，像新娘一樣。這是耶和華說的。

因為昨夜，我所屬所事奉的上帝的使者站在我旁邊，

二人正要和耶穌分離的時候，彼得對耶穌說：「老師，我們在這裏真好！我們來搭三座棚，一座為你，一座為摩西，一座為以利亞。」他卻不知道自己在說些甚麼。

以利沙說：「我指着所事奉永生的耶和華起誓，我必不接受。」乃縵再三請他收下，他卻不肯。

他的門徒雅各和約翰看見了，就說：「主啊！你要我們吩咐火從天上降下來，燒滅他們嗎？」

忽然有摩西和以利亞兩個人同耶穌說話；

這二人有權柄關閉天空，使他們說預言的日子不下雨；又有權柄使水變為血，並且能隨時隨意用各樣的災害擊打大地。

他們說：「有人說是施洗的約翰；有人說是以利亞；又有人說是耶利米或是先知中的一位。」

站在那裏的人，有的聽見就說：「這個人呼叫以利亞呢！」
