自昔以來、未有若亞哈、在耶和華前、惟惡是務、為其后耶洗別所慫慂、

其父希西家廢諸崇坵、馬拿西復建之、築祭壇、宗巴力、作偶像、從以色列王亞哈所為、崇拜天象、而服事焉。

必摧其壇、毀其像、斫其偶、

以色列王乃集先知、約四百人、告之曰、我欲往基列之喇末、一戰、行止若何。曰、往哉、耶和華將使彼敗於王手。

猶大人之罪、錄以鐵筆、其鋒堅剛無匹、銘於心中、書於壇角。茂林之下、高岡之上、建置祭壇、樹立偶像、彼之子女憶之。

告之曰、耶和華云、汝豈非殺人而據其業乎。又云、犬舐拿泊之血於其處、亦必舐爾之血。

以色列王曰、尚有一人、音拉子米該亞、可以之諮諏耶和華。然我嘗憾其人、因彼所預言、有凶而無吉。約沙法曰、王毋言是。

棄其上帝耶和華之命、鑄二金犢、樹立木偶、崇拜天象、奉事巴力、

猶大王亞撒三十八年、暗利子亞哈治以色列、在撒馬利亞、凡歷二十二年、行惡於耶和華前、較前王愈甚、

乃敢作惡、較前人尤甚、既違背我、鑄作偶像、奉事他上帝、干我震怒。
