相反，要拆掉他們的祭壇，打碎他們的神柱，砍掉他們的亞舍拉神像。

於是，以色列王就召來了大約四百名先知，問他們：「我可以去攻打基列的拉末嗎？」他們說：「可以去，主必把那城交在王手中。」

「猶大人的罪是用鐵筆記錄的，用鑽石鐫刻的，寫在了他們心坎上和祭壇角上。他們的兒女沒有忘記綠樹下、高崗上、

你要對他說，『耶和華說，你殺了人，還要奪他的產業嗎？』然後告訴他，耶和華說，『狗在哪裡舔拿伯的血，也必在哪裡舔你的血。』」

以色列王回答說：「這裡還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。可是我厭惡他，因為他給我的預言都是有凶無吉。」約沙法說：「王不要這樣說。」

他們把他們的上帝耶和華的誡命拋諸腦後，鑄造了兩個金牛犢，還造了亞舍拉神像。他們祭拜巴力和天上的萬象，

亞撒做猶大王第三十八年，暗利的兒子亞哈登基做以色列王，他在撒瑪利亞執政二十二年。暗利的兒子亞哈做耶和華視為惡的事，比以前的諸王更壞。

反而比前人行惡更甚，為自己設立其他神明，鑄造神像，惹我發怒，把我拋在腦後。
