于是，以色列王就召来了大约四百名先知，问他们：“我可以去攻打基列的拉末吗？”他们说：“可以去，主必把那城交在王手中。”

“犹大人的罪是用铁笔记录的，用钻石镌刻的，写在了他们心坎上和祭坛角上。他们的儿女没有忘记绿树下、高岗上、

你要对他说，‘耶和华说，你杀了人，还要夺他的产业吗？’然后告诉他，耶和华说，‘狗在哪里舔拿伯的血，也必在哪里舔你的血。’”

以色列王回答说：“这里还有一个人，是音拉的儿子米该雅，我们可以托他求问耶和华。可是我厌恶他，因为他给我的预言都是有凶无吉。”约沙法说：“王不要这样说。”

他们把他们的上帝耶和华的诫命抛诸脑后，铸造了两个金牛犊，还造了亚舍拉神像。他们祭拜巴力和天上的万象，

亚撒做犹大王第三十八年，暗利的儿子亚哈登基做以色列王，他在撒玛利亚执政二十二年。暗利的儿子亚哈做耶和华视为恶的事，比以前的诸王更坏。

反而比前人行恶更甚，为自己设立其他神明，铸造神像，惹我发怒，把我抛在脑后。
