He not only considered it trivial to commit the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, but he also married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and began to serve Baal and worship him.

He thought it was only a small thing to commit the sins Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, had committed. Ahab also married Jezebel. She was Ethbaal’s daughter. Ethbaal was king of the people of Sidon. Ahab began to serve the god named Baal and worship him.

And as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, he took for his wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal and worshiped him.

And as though it were not enough to follow the sinful example of Jeroboam, he married Jezebel, the daughter of King Ethbaal of the Sidonians, and he began to bow down in worship of Baal.

Then, as if following the sin of Jeroboam son of Nebat were not enough, he married Jezebel, the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and then proceeded to serve Baal and bow in worship to him.

As if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshiped him.

違棄其上帝耶和華一切誡命、鑄二犢像、製造木偶、崇拜天象、奉事巴力、

五人遂往、至拉億、見其居民、如西頓人、安逸無慮、因無強者相害也、地離西頓甚遠、不與他人交際、

耶戶集民眾、謂之曰、亞哈奉事巴力猶少、耶戶將事之加多焉、

勿相嫁娶、爾女勿嫁其子、爾子勿娶其女、彼必誘爾子、不從耶和華、而事他神、致耶和華震怒、滅爾甚速、

以色列人行耶和華所惡、崇事巴力、

從未有若亞哈自鬻、行耶和華所惡者、為其后耶洗別所慫恿也、彼從偶像、行極可憎之事、效亞摩利人所為、即耶和華於以色列人前、所逐之族之事、

彼諭我曰、人子歟、爾見此乎、猶大家在此行可惡之事、豈細故哉、致使斯土充斥強暴、復激我怒、置樹枝於其鼻、

以色列人又行耶和華所惡、事諸巴力、與亞斯他錄、暨亞蘭、西頓、摩押、亞捫族、非利士之諸神、違棄耶和華、不崇事之、

昔耶洗別滅耶和華諸先知、俄巴底匿先知百人於穴、每穴五十人、以餅與水供之、

昔西頓亞瑪力馬雲人虐爾、爾呼籲我、我亦拯爾於其手、

以色列人行耶和華所惡、忘其上帝耶和華、而崇事諸巴力、暨木偶、

以色列之上帝、區別爾曹於會眾、使近其前、服役於耶和華幕、立會眾前、以為供役、其事豈微細哉、

所羅門年邁時、后妃誘之、附於他神、不專心從其上帝耶和華、如父大衛、乃從西頓人之女神亞斯他錄、及亞捫人可憎之神米勒公、所羅門行耶和華所惡、不效其父大衛、盡心從耶和華、在耶路撒冷東之山、為摩押可憎之神基抹、與亞捫人可憎之神摩洛築壇、為其異族后妃亦行此、彼皆焚香獻祭與其神、○

其后耶洗別詣之曰、心憂不食、曷故、曰、我謂耶斯列人拿伯曰、以爾葡萄園給我以易金、或爾欲之、易以他園、彼曰、不以我之葡萄園給爾、其后耶洗別曰、爾今治以色列國乎、其起而食、中心歡暢、我必以耶斯列人拿伯之葡萄園給爾、遂假亞哈名作書、鈐以王印、致於拿伯邑中、與彼偕居之長老顯者、書曰、宣告禁食、在民間舉拿伯於高坐、置二匪徒於其前、對之證曰、爾詛上帝及王、即曳之出、以石擊斃之、邑中之長老顯者、遵耶洗別所致之書而行、宣告禁食、在民間舉拿伯於高坐、有匪徒二人入、對之而坐、於眾前作證、訟拿伯曰、拿伯詛上帝與王、乃曳之出邑、以石擊斃之、遣人告耶洗別曰、拿伯已石擊而死、

爾若轉而合於爾中遺民、與之嫁娶往來、則當確知爾上帝耶和華、必不復逐斯民於爾目前、彼必於爾為網羅、為機檻、脇下之鞭、目中之刺、迨爾滅亡、於爾上帝耶和華所賜之美地、

耶戶既至耶斯列、耶洗別聞之、畫眉飾首、自牖而觀、耶戶入門、耶洗別曰、弒主之心利歟、安乎、耶戶仰視其牖曰、為我者誰乎、有二三宦者自牖觀之、耶戶曰、擲之下、遂擲之、血濺於壁及馬、耶戶以足踐之、耶戶入而飲食、既而命曰、收此服詛之婦葬之、以其為王女也、遂往葬之、僅得其頭顱、與足及手掌而已、反告耶戶、耶戶曰、此乃耶和華藉其僕、提斯比人以利亞所言曰、耶洗別之肉、必在耶斯列田、為犬所噬、其屍必在耶斯列田、如田間之糞壤、致人不得曰、此乃耶洗別也、

今當遣人集以色列眾、與巴力之先知四百五十人、及木偶之先知四百人、食於耶洗別之席者、至迦密山見我、

時、我見猶大人、娶亞實突亞捫摩押之女為室、其子女所言者、半屬亞實突方言、猶大方言則不能、惟言諸族方言而已、我則斥之、詛之、撻其數人、拔其髮、使指上帝而誓、必不以己女嫁其子、不娶其女為妻為媳、謂之曰、以色列王所羅門、非因此而犯罪乎、彼在列國中、無王可比、上帝愛之、立為以色列王、然異邦之女誘之干罪、我豈聽爾行此大惡、娶異邦之女、干犯我上帝乎、祭司長以利亞實孫、耶何耶大子一人、為和倫人參巴拉之壻、我屏之於我前、我上帝歟、彼玷祭司之職、背祭司利未人之約、望爾念之、

亞哈以以利亞所為、及以刃殺諸先知之事、告耶洗別、耶洗別遣人謂以利亞曰、明日斯時、我若不喪爾命、如爾喪彼眾之命、則願諸神罰我維倍、

曰、爾奪我夫、豈細故耶、今欲奪我子之風茄乎、拉結曰、為汝子之風茄、是夜夫可與爾同寢、

又取為我而生之子女、獻之於彼、俾其吞噬、

爾未從其道、行彼可惡之事、而以此為細故、於爾所行之途、較之尤惡、

然我有所責爾者、以爾容自稱先知之婦耶洗別、彼誨我諸僕、誘之行淫、且食祭像之物、

所羅門王寵法老女、此外、又寵異族之女甚多、即摩押亞捫以東西頓赫人之女、耶和華曾諭以色列人云、勿與彼族往來相通、彼必誘惑爾心、俾從其神、然所羅門戀愛其女、

爾食於芳草之場、猶為細故、而以足蹂躪其餘乎、爾飲於清水、猶為細故、而以足渾濁其餘乎、

上帝子見其豔麗、隨意遴選、娶以為室、

以賽亞曰、大衛家、其聽之、爾以勞人為細事乎、亦將勞我上帝乎、
