何细亚第九年，亚述王攻取了撒玛利亚，把以色列人掳到亚述，安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，以及玛代人的城镇。

暗利与他祖先同睡，葬在撒玛利亚，他儿子亚哈接续他作王。犹大王亚撒第三十八年，暗利的儿子亚哈登基作以色列王。暗利的儿子亚哈在撒玛利亚作以色列王二十二年。

又在撒玛利亚建巴力庙，在庙里为巴力筑坛。

亚述王从巴比伦、古他、亚瓦、哈马和西法瓦音迁移人来，安置在撒玛利亚的城镇，代替以色列人；他们就占据了撒玛利亚，住在城中。

以利亚就去，要让亚哈见到他。那时，撒玛利亚的饥荒非常严重。
