何細亞執政第九年，撒瑪利亞淪陷。亞述王把以色列人擄到亞述，安置在哈臘、歌散的哈博河一帶以及瑪代人的各城。

暗利與祖先同眠後葬在撒瑪利亞，他兒子亞哈繼位。亞撒做猶大王第三十八年，暗利的兒子亞哈登基做以色列王，他在撒瑪利亞執政二十二年。

他在撒瑪利亞為巴力建廟，在廟裡為巴力設立祭壇。

亞述王把巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈馬、西法瓦音等地的一些居民遷移到撒瑪利亞各城，代替以色列人。

以利亞就去見亞哈。當時，撒瑪利亞正遭受嚴重的饑荒。
