“我既从尘埃中提拔你，立你作我百姓以色列的君王，你竟行耶罗波安所行的道，使我的百姓以色列陷入罪里，以他们的罪惹我发怒，

“我从尘土中提拔你，立你为我以色列子民的王，你却重蹈耶罗波安的覆辙，使我的子民陷入罪中，惹我发怒。

“我既然从尘埃中高举了你，立你作我的子民以色列的领袖；然而，你却走耶罗波安的路，使我的子民以色列犯罪，因他们的罪惹我发怒。

昔我舉爾於塵埃、立為我民以色列之君、而爾行耶羅波安之道、使我民以色列陷罪、激我之怒、

昔爾辱在泥塗、我舉爾為王、治我以色列族之民、爾從耶羅破暗所為、使以色列族犯罪、干我震怒、

我自塵埃中舉爾、立爾為我民以色列之君、乃爾從耶羅波安所為、使我民以色列人陷於罪、作惡干犯我怒、

“ I lifted you up from the dust and appointed you ruler over my people Israel, but you followed the ways of Jeroboam and caused my people Israel to sin and to arouse my anger by their sins.

“ I lifted you up from the dust. I appointed you king over my people Israel. But you lived the way Jeroboam had lived. You also caused my people Israel to sin. And their sins made me very angry.

“ Since I exalted you out of the dust and made you leader over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins,

“ I lifted you out of the dust to make you ruler of my people Israel, but you have followed the evil example of Jeroboam. You have provoked my anger by causing my people Israel to sin.

“ Because I raised you up from the dust and made you ruler over my people Israel, but you have walked in the ways of Jeroboam and have caused my people Israel to sin, angering me with their sins,

“ Since I exalted you from the dust and made you leader over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have misled My people Israel into sin, provoking Me to anger with their sins,

“ Inasmuch as I lifted you out of the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made My people Israel sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins,

Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

“ Because I raised you up from the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, but you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have caused My people Israel to sin, provoking Me with their sins,

Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

“ I raised you up from the dust and made you ruler over my people Israel. Yet you followed in Jeroboam’s footsteps and encouraged my people Israel to sin; their sins have made me angry.

“ Because I exalted you out of the dust, and made you prince over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

他行永恆主所看為壞的事，走耶羅波安所走的路，犯耶羅波安使以色列人犯的那罪。

你去、對耶羅波安說：「永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：『我既從人民中舉起了你，立你做人君來管理我人民以色列；

他抬舉了貧寒人出灰塵，提拔了窮苦人出灰堆，使他們和王子同坐，承繼榮顯的座位；地的柱子屬於永恆主；他將世界立在那上面。

這事以後、耶羅波安仍然沒有從他的壞行徑上回轉過來；反而把平常範圍內的人立為邱壇的祭司；凡願意的、他都授與聖職，使他做邱壇的祭司。由於這事、耶羅波安的家就有了罪，以致永恆主要從地上抹除它、消滅它。

有一個神人來見以利，對他說：『永恆主這麼說：「你祖宗的家在埃及法老家做奴僕的時候，我不是明明向他們啓示過麼？我不是在以色列眾族派中揀選了他們做我的祭司，上我的祭壇，燻肉香，在我面前帶着以弗得麼？又不是將以色列人所獻的火祭都賜給你祖宗的家麼？

我兒啊，不可這樣；我親自聽見的報告很不好：你們使永恆主的人民有過犯了。

拿單對大衛說：『你、你就是那人：永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：「我、我膏立了你做王來管理以色列；我援救了你脫離掃羅的手；我將你主上的家業賜給你，將你主上的妻子交在你懷中；又將以色列家和猶大家賜給你；若太少了，我還要將這樣將那樣加給你呢。你為甚麼藐視永恆主的話，行他所看為壞的事；將赫人烏利亞用刀擊殺，而娶了他的妻做你的妻子，借亞捫人的刀去殺害他呢？現在呢、你既藐視了我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻做你的妻子，刀劍就永不離開你的家。」永恆主這麼說：「看吧，我必從你家中興起禍患來攻擊你；我必將你的妃嬪在你眼前賜給你的鄰舍；他必在這日光的鑒察下就和你的妃嬪同寢。

他使有權力的從座位上黜落，使卑微的升高；

現在求我主我王聽僕人的一句話：如果是永恆主激動你攻擊我，那麼願永恆主聞聞祭物；如果是人呢，那麼願他們在永恆主面前受咒詛；因為他們今天趕逐我、不容我隸屬於永恆主的產業；那就等於說：「你去事奉別的神吧。」

撒母耳說：『你雖曾自看為微小，你豈不是以色列族派的元首麼？永恆主膏立了你為王來管理以色列；永恆主差遣了你走一條路，說：「你去將那些犯罪者亞瑪力人盡行殺滅歸神，攻打他們，直到他們滅盡。」你為甚麼沒有聽永恆主的聽音，急於攫取掠得物，而行永恆主所看為壞的事呢？』

摩西對亞倫說：『這人民向你作了甚麼，你竟使他們陷於大罪呀？』

所以凡廢掉誡命中這些最小的一條，又這樣教訓人的，在天國裏他必稱為最小的；凡遵行誡命，又教訓人的，這人在天國裏必稱為大。

因了耶羅波安的罪、就是他自己犯了的、又使以色列人犯了的、永恆主必將以色列人放棄了。』

拿答行永恆主所看為壞的事，走他父親所走的路，犯他父親使以色列人犯的那罪。
