For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not failed to keep any of the Lord’s commands all the days of his life— except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.

David had done what was right in the sight of the Lord. He had kept all the Lord’ s commands. He had obeyed them all the days of his life. But he hadn’t obeyed the Lord in the case of Uriah, the Hittite.

至于你，如果你像你父亲大卫那样，存诚实和正直的心在我面前行事为人，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，谨守我的律例和典章，

他们在神面前都是义人，遵行主的一切诫命规条，无可指摘，

你为什么藐视耶和华的话，行他看为恶的事呢？你用刀击杀了赫人乌利亚，娶了他的妻子作你的妻子，你藉着亚扪人的刀杀了乌利亚。所以，从今以后，刀剑必不离开你的家，因为你藐视了我，娶了赫人乌利亚的妻子作你的妻子。’

大卫派人去查问那妇人是谁。有人说：“这不是以连的女儿、赫人乌利亚的妻子拔示巴吗？”于是大卫差派使者去把她接来。她来到大卫那里，大卫就与她同房。那时她的月经刚得洁净。事后，她就回家去了。

“大卫在他自己的世代里，遵行了神的计划，就睡了，归回他列祖那里，见了朽坏。

他行耶和华看为正的事，跟随他祖宗大卫所行的一切道路，不偏左右。

神啊！求你按着你的慈爱恩待我，照着你丰盛的怜悯涂抹我的过犯。

我重视你的一切诫命，就不至于羞愧。

亚比央行他父亲在他以前所行的一切罪恶。他的心不完完全全归向耶和华他的神，像他先祖大卫的心一样。

他行耶和华看为正的事，效法他先祖大卫所行的，不偏左，也不偏右。

废去扫罗之后，又为他们兴起大卫作王，并且为他作证说：‘我找到耶西的儿子大卫，他是合我心意的人，必遵行我的一切旨意。’
