Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.

Asa took all the silver and gold left among the treasures of the Lord’ s temple and his own palace. He put his officials in charge of it. He sent the officials to Ben- Hadad. Ben- Hadad was king of Aram. He was ruling in Damascus. He was the son of Tabrimmon and the grandson of Hezion.

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house and gave them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,

Asa responded by removing all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Temple of the Lord and the royal palace. He sent it with some of his officials to Ben hadad son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus, along with this message:

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and gave it to his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and put it into the hands of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold[ that were] left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and of the royal palace and handed it to his servants. He then told them to deliver it to Ben Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that was left in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered it into the hand of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,

夺了耶和华殿和王宫里的宝物，尽都带走，又夺走所罗门制造的一切金盾牌。

犹大王约阿施将他祖先犹大王约沙法、约兰、亚哈谢所分别为圣的物和自己所分别为圣的物，以及耶和华殿与王宫府库里所有的金子都送给亚兰王哈薛；哈薛就不上耶路撒冷来了。

上帝又使以利亚大的儿子利逊兴起，作所罗门的敌人。他曾逃避主人琐巴王哈大底谢。大卫击杀琐巴人的时候，利逊召集了一群人，自己作他们的领袖。他们往大马士革，住在那里，在大马士革建立王国。

亚撒将他父亲所分别为圣与自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿都奉到耶和华的殿里。

在夜间，他和他的仆人分队击败了敌人，并且追杀他们，直到大马士革北边的何把。

亚兰王便‧哈达召集他的全军，率领三十二个王，带着马和战车，上来围困撒玛利亚，要攻打它。他派使者进城到以色列王亚哈那里，对他说：“便‧哈达如此说：‘你的金银都要归我，你妻妾儿女中最美的也要归我。’”以色列王回答说：“我主我王啊，就照着你的话，我和我所有的都归你。”使者又来说：“便‧哈达如此说：‘我已派人到你那里，要你把你的金银、妻妾、儿女都归我。’

这些人正在探测吉凶，就立即抓住他的话说：“便‧哈达是王的兄弟！”王说：“你们去请他来。”便‧哈达出来到王那里，王就请他上车。便‧哈达对王说：“我父从你父那里所夺的城镇，我必归还给你。你可以在大马士革为你自己设立街市，像我父在撒玛利亚所设立的一样。”亚哈说：“我照此立约，放你回去。”王就与他立约，放了他。

我要降火在哈薛的王宫，吞灭便‧哈达的宫殿；

于是亚撒从耶和华殿和王宫的府库里拿出金银来，送给住在大马士革的亚兰王便‧哈达，说：“你父曾与我父立约，我与你也要这样立约。看哪，我把金银送给你，请你废掉你与以色列王巴沙所立的约，使他从我这里撤退。”便‧哈达听从了亚撒王，就派遣他的军官去攻打以色列的城镇。他们攻下了以云、但、亚伯‧玛音和拿弗他利一切的储货城。巴沙听见了，就停工不修筑拉玛，任由他的工程停止。于是亚撒王率领犹大众人，运走巴沙修筑拉玛所用的石头和木料，用以修筑迦巴和米斯巴。

我必用火点燃大马士革的城墙，烧灭便‧哈达的宫殿。

以利沙来到大马士革，亚兰王便‧哈达正患病。有人告诉王说：“神人来到这里了。”王就吩咐哈薛说：“你带着礼物去见神人，托他求问耶和华，我这病能不能好？”于是哈薛用四十匹骆驼，驮着大马士革的各样美物为礼物，去迎见以利沙。哈薛到了那里，站在他面前，说：“你儿子亚兰王便‧哈达派我到你这里，问说：‘我这病会不会好？’”以利沙对哈薛说：“你回去告诉他说：‘你一定会好。’但耶和华指示我，他必定会死。”神人定睛看着哈薛，直到他感到羞愧。神人就哭了。哈薛说：“我主为什么哭？”他说：“因为我知道你必虐待以色列人，用火焚烧他们的堡垒，用刀杀死他们的壮丁，摔死他们的婴孩，剖开他们的孕妇。”哈薛说：“仆人算什么，不过是一条狗，怎么能行这大事呢？”以利沙说：“耶和华指示我，你必作亚兰王。”哈薛离开以利沙，回到他主人那里。主人对他说：“以利沙对你说了什么？”他说：“他告诉我你必能好。”次日，哈薛拿被子浸在水中，蒙住王的脸，王就死了。于是哈薛篡了他的位。

亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，我还没有儿子，你能赐我什么呢？承受我家业的是大马士革人以利以谢。”

希西家把耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的银子都给了他。那时，犹大王希西家将耶和华殿门上的金子和他自己包在柱子上的金子都刮下来，给了亚述王。
