Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.

Asa took all the silver and gold left among the treasures of the Lord’ s temple and his own palace. He put his officials in charge of it. He sent the officials to Ben- Hadad. Ben- Hadad was king of Aram. He was ruling in Damascus. He was the son of Tabrimmon and the grandson of Hezion.

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house and gave them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,

Asa responded by removing all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Temple of the Lord and the royal palace. He sent it with some of his officials to Ben hadad son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus, along with this message:

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and gave it to his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and put it into the hands of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and of the royal palace and handed it to his servants. He then told them to deliver it to Ben Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that was left in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered it into the hand of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,

奪取永恆主之殿的寶物、和王宮的寶物：所有的盡都奪取；又把所羅門所造的一切金盾牌也奪了去。

猶大王約阿施將他列祖猶大王約沙法、約蘭、亞哈謝、所獻為聖別之物、和他自己所獻為聖別之物、跟永恆主之殿和王宮府庫裏所有的一切金子、都送給亞蘭王哈薛；哈薛就不上耶路撒冷來了。

上帝激起了一個敵擋所羅門的人，就是以利亞大的兒子利遜；曾經從他主上瑣巴王哈大底謝那裏逃走而來的。大衛殺死瑣巴人的時候，利遜招聚了一些人，自己做遊擊隊的首領，攻取大馬色，住在那裏，在大馬色作王。

亞撒將他父親所分別為聖、和他自己所分別為聖的金銀和器皿、都奉到永恆主殿裏。

他和他的奴僕趁夜分隊，攻擊敵人，擊敗了他們，又追到大馬色北邊的何把；

亞蘭王便哈達集合了他的全軍，又有三十二個王跟着他，以及馬匹車輛：他上來圍困撒瑪利亞，攻打那城。他差遣使者進城來見以色列王亞哈，對他說：『便哈達這麼說：「你的銀子、金子、都是我的；連你的妻子們、你兒女中最美的也都是我的。」』以色列王回答說：『我主我王啊，就依着你的話都歸你吧，我和我所有的一切都歸於你。』使者再來說：『便哈達這麼說：「我已經差遣了人去對你說：你要把你的銀子、金子、你的妻子們和兒女們、都給我；

這些人正在觀察徵兆，便急忙就着他的話抓住機會說：『是王的盟兄弟便哈達！』王說：『去領他來』；便哈達出來見王，王請他上車。便哈達對王說：『我父親從你父親所奪取的城市我都要歸還；你可以在大馬色立街市，像我父親在撒瑪利亞立街市一樣。』亞哈說：『我就憑這個約放你走。』便和他立約，放他走。

我必降火於哈薛家，燒燬便哈達的宮堡。

於是亞撒從永恆主之殿和王宮的府庫裏拿出金銀來，送給住大馬色的亞蘭王便哈達，說：『你我之間必須有個約，像你父親與我父親之間也有個約；看哪，我將金銀送給你；求你去廢棄你同以色列王巴沙所立的約，使他離開我。』便哈達聽從了亞撒王的話，便打發他屬下的軍長去攻打以色列的城市，他們就擊破了以雲、但、亞伯瑪音，和拿弗他利所有的貯藏城。巴沙聽見了就停止，不修造拉瑪。把工都停息了。於是亞撒王率領了猶大眾人，將巴沙修造拉瑪所用的石頭和木料都運了走；去修造迦巴和米斯巴。

我必使火在大馬色的城牆上着起，將便哈達的宮堡盡行燒滅。』

以利沙來到大馬色；亞蘭王便哈達正患着病；有人告訴王說：『神人來到這裏了。』王就對哈薛說：『你手裏帶着禮物去會見神人，託他尋問永恆主說：『我患這病、活得了、活不了？』於是哈薛就去，要會見以利沙；他手裏帶着禮物，就是大馬色各樣財物四十載、用駱駝載的。既已到了，他就站在以利沙面前，說：『你兒子亞蘭王便哈達打發我來見你；又問說：「我患這病、活得了活不了？」』以利沙對哈薛說：『你去對他說：「你一定活得了」；但是永恆主指示我他還是一定死的。』神人凝神定睛地看哈薛，以致他不好意思；然後自己哭起來。哈薛說：『我主為甚麼哭呢？』他回答說：『因為我知道你對以色列人所要施的苦害；他們的堡壘你必放火燒，他們的壯丁你必用刀殺戮，他們的嬰孩你必摔死，他們的孕婦你必剖開。』哈薛說：『你僕人算甚麼？不過是一條狗：怎能行這大事呢？』以利沙說：『永恆主指示我、你必作王去管理亞蘭。』哈薛離開了以利沙，去見他的主上；主上問他說：『以利沙對你說甚麼？』他回答說：『他對我說你一定活得了。』第二天哈薛拿被窩，蘸在水裏，鋪在王的臉上，王就死了；於是哈薛接替他作王。

亞伯蘭說：『主啊，我，我快要去世了還沒有兒子，你還賜給我甚麼呢？那麼承受我家業的、就將要是大馬色以利以謝了！』

希西家就把永恆主殿裏和王宮府庫裏所有的銀子都交出。那時猶大王希西家將永恆主殿堂門上的金子、和他自己包在門柱上的金子都刮下來、給了亞述王。

亞撒將他父親所分別為聖，和他自己所分別為聖的金銀和器皿，都奉到上帝的殿裏。
