Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.

Asa took all the silver and gold left among the treasures of the Lord’ s temple and his own palace. He put his officials in charge of it. He sent the officials to Ben- Hadad. Ben- Hadad was king of Aram. He was ruling in Damascus. He was the son of Tabrimmon and the grandson of Hezion.

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house and gave them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,

Asa responded by removing all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Temple of the Lord and the royal palace. He sent it with some of his officials to Ben hadad son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus, along with this message:

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and gave it to his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and put it into the hands of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold[ that were] left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and of the royal palace and handed it to his servants. He then told them to deliver it to Ben Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that was left in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered it into the hand of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,

夺了耶和华殿和王宫里的宝物，尽都带走，又夺去所罗门制造的金盾牌。

犹大王约阿施将他列祖犹大王约沙法、约兰、亚哈谢所分别为圣的物和自己所分别为圣的物，并耶和华殿与王宫府库里所有的金子都送给亚兰王哈薛；哈薛就不上耶路撒冷来了。

神又使以利亚大的儿子利逊兴起，作所罗门的敌人。他先前逃避主人琐巴王哈大底谢。大卫击杀琐巴人的时候，利逊招聚了一群人，自己作他们的头目，往大马士革居住，在那里作王。

亚撒将他父亲所分别为圣与自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿都奉到耶和华的殿里。

便在夜间，自己同仆人分队杀败敌人，又追到大马士革左边的何把，

亚兰王便哈达聚集他的全军，率领三十二个王，带着车马上来围攻撒玛利亚；又差遣使者进城见以色列王亚哈，对他说：“便哈达如此说：你的金银都要归我，你妻子儿女中最美的也要归我。”以色列王回答说：“我主我王啊，可以依着你的话，我与我所有的都归你。”使者又来说：“便哈达如此说：我已差遣人去见你，要你将你的金银、妻子、儿女都给我。

这些人留心探出他的口气来，便急忙就着他的话说：“便哈达是王的兄弟！”王说：“你们去请他来。”便哈达出来见王，王就请他上车。便哈达对王说：“我父从你父那里所夺的城邑，我必归还。你可以在大马士革立街市，像我父在撒玛利亚所立的一样。”亚哈说：“我照此立约，放你回去”，就与他立约，放他去了。

我却要降火在哈薛的家中，烧灭便哈达的宫殿。

于是亚撒从耶和华殿和王宫的府库里拿出金银来，送与住大马士革的亚兰王便哈达，说：“你父曾与我父立约，我与你也要立约。现在我将金银送给你，求你废掉你与以色列王巴沙所立的约，使他离开我。”便哈达听从亚撒王的话，派军长去攻击以色列的城邑。他们就攻破以云、但、亚伯玛音，和拿弗他利一切的积货城。巴沙听见就停工，不修筑拉玛了。于是亚撒王率领犹大众人，将巴沙修筑拉玛所用的石头、木头都运去，用以修筑迦巴和米斯巴。

我必在大马士革城中使火着起，烧灭便哈达的宫殿。”

以利沙来到大马士革，亚兰王便哈达正患病。有人告诉王说：“神人来到这里了。”王就吩咐哈薛说：“你带着礼物去见神人，托他求问耶和华，我这病能好不能好？”于是哈薛用四十个骆驼，驮着大马士革的各样美物为礼物，去见以利沙。到了他那里，站在他面前，说：“你儿子亚兰王便哈达打发我来见你，他问说：‘我这病能好不能好？’”以利沙对哈薛说：“你回去告诉他说，这病必能好；但耶和华指示我，他必要死。”神人定睛看着哈薛，甚至他惭愧。神人就哭了；哈薛说：“我主为什么哭？”回答说：“因为我知道你必苦害以色列人，用火焚烧他们的保障，用刀杀死他们的壮丁，摔死他们的婴孩，剖开他们的孕妇。”哈薛说：“你仆人算什么，不过是一条狗，焉能行这大事呢？”以利沙回答说：“耶和华指示我，你必作亚兰王。”哈薛离开以利沙，回去见他的主人。主人问他说：“以利沙对你说什么？”回答说：“他告诉我你必能好。”次日，哈薛拿被窝浸在水中，蒙住王的脸，王就死了。于是哈薛篡了他的位。

亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，我既无子，你还赐我什么呢？并且要承受我家业的是大马士革人以利以谢。”

希西家就把耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的银子都给了他。那时，犹大王希西家将耶和华殿门上的金子和他自己包在柱上的金子都刮下来，给了亚述王。

亚撒将他父所分别为圣、与自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿都奉到神的殿里。
