Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.

Asa took all the silver and gold left among the treasures of the Lord’ s temple and his own palace. He put his officials in charge of it. He sent the officials to Ben- Hadad. Ben- Hadad was king of Aram. He was ruling in Damascus. He was the son of Tabrimmon and the grandson of Hezion.

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house and gave them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,

Asa responded by removing all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Temple of the Lord and the royal palace. He sent it with some of his officials to Ben hadad son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus, along with this message:

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and gave it to his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and put it into the hands of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and of the royal palace and handed it to his servants. He then told them to deliver it to Ben Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that was left in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered it into the hand of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,

他夺去了耶和华的宝物和王宫的宝物，并且把所有的东西都夺去了；又把所罗门所做的一切金盾牌都夺了去。

犹大王约阿施于是拿出所有的圣物，就是他的祖先犹大王约沙法、约兰和亚哈谢所献的圣物，以及他自己所献的圣物，还有耶和华殿和王宫宝库里所有的金子，送给亚兰王哈薛，哈薛就离开耶路撒冷去了。

神又兴起一个人敌挡所罗门，就是以利亚大的儿子利逊。他是从他主人琐巴王哈大底谢那里逃出来的。大卫击杀琐巴人的时候，利逊招聚了一些人，自己作了这些土匪的领袖。他前往大马士革，住在那里，又在大马士革作王。

亚撒把他父亲所分别为圣和他自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿，都带到耶和华的殿里。

亚伯兰和他的仆人趁夜分队攻击他们，结果击败了他们，又追赶他们直到大马士革北面的何把，

亚兰王便．哈达聚集他的全军，有三十二个王与他在一起，他带着战马和战车，上去围困撒玛利亚，攻打那城。他派遣一些使者进城去见以色列王亚哈，对他说：“便．哈达这样说：‘你的银子，你的金子都是我的；你的妻子和你最健壮的儿女也是我的。’”以色列王回答说：“我主我王啊，就照着你所说的，我和我所有的一切都可以归你。”那些使者再来说：“便．哈达这样说：‘我曾经差派人对你说：你要把你的银子，你的金子，你的妻子和你的儿女都给我。

那些人认为这些话是个吉兆，急忙抓住他的话，说：“便．哈达是王的兄弟！”亚哈说：“你们去请他来。”便．哈达出来见王，亚哈就去请他上车。便．哈达对王说：“我父亲从你父亲夺得的众城，我都必还给你；你可以为自己在大马士革设立市场，像我父亲在撒玛利亚设立市场一样。”亚哈说：“我与你立了这样的约，就放你去。”于是他和便．哈达立了约，就放他走了。

我必降火在哈薛的王宫，烧毁便．哈达的堡垒。

于是亚撒从耶和华的殿和王宫的库房里取出金银来，送给住在大马士革的亚兰王便．哈达，说：“你父亲和我父亲曾经立约，你和我也要立约。现在我把金银送给你，请你去废除你和以色列王巴沙订立的约，好使他离开我而去。”便．哈达听从了亚撒王的话，就派遣他属下的众军长去攻击以色列的城市，他们攻陷了以云、但、亚伯．玛音和拿弗他利一切贮藏货物的城市。巴沙听见了，就停止修筑拉玛，把工程都停止了。于是亚撒王带领犹大众人，把巴沙修筑拉玛所用的石头和木材都搬走，用来修筑迦巴和米斯巴。

“我要焚烧大马士革的城墙，烧毁便．哈达的堡垒。”

以利沙来到大马士革。亚兰王便．哈达患了病。有人告诉他说：“神人来到这里了。”王对哈薛说：“你带着礼物，去见神人，托他求问耶和华说：‘我这病能痊愈吗？’”于是哈薛去见以利沙。他带着礼物，就是大马士革各样的美物，由四十匹骆驼驮着，去站在他的面前，说：“你的儿子亚兰王便．哈达派我到你这里来，问你说：‘我这病能痊愈吗？’”以利沙对他说：“你去告诉他说：‘你一定会痊愈的’，但耶和华指示我，他一定要死。”以利沙定睛看着他，直到他感到侷促不安；然后，神人哭了起来。哈薛说：“我主为什么哭起来了？”他回答：“因为我已知道你要对以色列人施行的恶事。他们的城堡，你要放火焚烧；他们的年轻人，你要用刀杀死；他们的婴孩，你要摔死；他们的孕妇，你要剖开。”哈薛说：“你仆人算什么？不过是一条狗罢了；怎可以作这样的大事呢？”以利沙说：“耶和华已指示我，你要作王统治亚兰。”于是他离开以利沙，回到他主人那里。便．哈达对他说：“以利沙对你说了些什么呢？”他说：“他对我说：‘你一定痊愈的。’”第二天，哈薛拿被窝浸在水里，然后蒙住便．哈达的面，他就死了；于是哈薛接续他作王。

亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，我一向都没有孩子，你还能赐给我什么呢？这样，承受我家业的，就是大马士革人以利以谢了。”

希西家就把耶和华殿和王宫宝库内找到的所有金子都给了他。那时，犹大王希西家把耶和华殿门上和自己包在门柱上的金子，都刮了下来，给了亚述王。

亚撒把他父亲所分别为圣，和他自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿，都送进神的殿里。
