And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, as did David his father.

Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father David had done.

Asa did what was right in the sight of the Lord. That’s what King David had done.

And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father had done.

Asa did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, as his ancestor David had done.

Asa did what was right in the LORD’s sight, as his ancestor David had done.

Now Asa did what was right in the sight of the Lord, like his father David.

And Asa cried unto Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, there is none besides thee to help, between the mighty and him that hath no strength: help us, O Jehovah our God; for we rely on thee, and in thy name are we come against this multitude. O Jehovah, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.

And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and hast not relied on Jehovah thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thy hand.Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge host, with chariots and horsemen exceeding many? yet, because thou didst rely on Jehovah, he delivered them into thy hand.For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in the prison- house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not perfect with Jehovah his God, as the heart of David his father.

But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
