I tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you, but you have not been like my servant David, who kept my commands and followed me with all his heart, doing only what was right in my eyes.

我之行此、乃因其人棄我、崇拜西頓人之女神亞斯他錄、摩押之神基抹、亞捫族之神米勒公、不從我道、行我所悅、不守我之典章律例、如父大衛所為、然我不奪全國於其手、必使之為君、以畢其生、緣我所簡之僕大衛、守我誡命典章故也、惟必奪國於其子手、以十支派予爾、以一支派予其子、使我僕大衛、在我前恆有燈光、於我所簡耶路撒冷、即我寄名之所、我將簡爾、俾從所欲而主治、為以色列王、爾若聽我所命、從我之道、行我所悅、守我典章誡命、如我僕大衛所為、我必偕爾、為爾建鞏固之家室、如為大衛所建、且以以色列族畀爾、

亞希雅取其所衣之新衣、裂為十二、謂之曰、爾取其十、蓋以色列之上帝耶和華曰、我必分裂此國、奪於所羅門手、以十支派予爾、
