有一个人从巴力‧沙利沙来，带着初熟果子的食物、二十个大麦做的饼和新麦穗，装在袋子里送给神人。神人说：“把这些给大家吃。”

王对神人说：“请你跟我回宫，让你恢复心力，我必给你赏赐。”

以利沙来到大马士革，亚兰王便‧哈达正患病。有人告诉王说：“神人来到这里了。”王就吩咐哈薛说：“你带着礼物去见神人，托他求问耶和华，我这病能不能好？”于是哈薛用四十匹骆驼，驮着大马士革的各样美物为礼物，去迎见以利沙。哈薛到了那里，站在他面前，说：“你儿子亚兰王便‧哈达派我到你这里，问说：‘我这病会不会好？’”

乃缦带着所有跟随他的人，回到神人那里，站在他面前，说：“看哪，我知道，除了以色列，全地没有神。现在请你收下仆人的礼物。”

他听见耶稣从犹太到了加利利，就来见他，求他下去医治他的儿子，因为他儿子快要死了。耶稣对他说：“若不看见神迹奇事，你们总是不信。”

亚哈谢在撒玛利亚，一日从楼上的栏杆跌下来，就病了。于是他派使者，对他们说：“你们去问以革伦的神明巴力‧西卜，我这病是否能痊愈。”

亚兰王说：“你可以去，我也会送信给以色列王。”于是乃缦手里带十他连得银子、六千舍客勒金子和十套衣裳去了。

有一个百夫长所器重的仆人害病，快要死了。百夫长风闻耶稣的事，就托犹太人的几个长老去求耶稣来救他的仆人。

姊妹两个就打发人去见耶稣，说：“主啊，你所爱的人病了。”
