掃羅對僮僕說：『且慢，我們去，有甚麼可以帶給那人沒有？我們口袋中的食物都用盡了，也沒有見面禮可以帶給那神人呀！我們還有甚麼沒有？』僮僕應時對掃羅說：『看哪，我手裏有銀子一舍客勒的四分之一，可以送給那神人，請他將我們當走的路指示我們。』

有一個人從巴力沙利沙來，帶着首熟大麥作的餅二十個、和新穀子、在旅行袋裏、來送給神人。神人說：『給眾人喫吧。』

王對神人說：『請跟我到家裏去、喫點點心；我也要將禮物賜給你。』

以利沙來到大馬色；亞蘭王便哈達正患着病；有人告訴王說：『神人來到這裏了。』王就對哈薛說：『你手裏帶着禮物去會見神人，託他尋問永恆主說：『我患這病、活得了、活不了？』於是哈薛就去，要會見以利沙；他手裏帶着禮物，就是大馬色各樣財物四十載、用駱駝載的。既已到了，他就站在以利沙面前，說：『你兒子亞蘭王便哈達打發我來見你；又問說：「我患這病、活得了活不了？」』

乃縵回到神人那裏，他和他的全衛隊都去；他來，站在神人面前，說：『看哪，如今我才知道，除了以色列中之外，在全地上都沒有上帝；現在請從僕人接收點祝福禮物。』

這人聽說耶穌從猶太到了加利利，就來見他，求他下去醫治他的兒子；因為他那兒子快要死了。耶穌就對他說：『若不看見神迹奇事，你們總是不信的。』

亞哈謝從撒瑪利亞王宮房頂屋子的窗戶格子裏掉下來，因而致病；於是他差遣使者，對他們說：『你們去尋問以革倫的神巴力西卜：我患這病活得了活不了。』

亞蘭王說：『你可以去；我還要寄信給以色列王呢。』於是乃縵帶着銀子十擔、金子六千錠、衣服十套、在手邊，就去了。

有一個百夫長的僕人正患着病，快要死了；這僕人是他所器重的。他聽見耶穌的事，就差遣猶太人幾個長老來見耶穌，求耶穌去救治他的僕人。

她姊妹兩個就差遣人去見耶穌說：『主啊，請看，你所愛的人病了。』
