「你們不可為自己造虛無的神明，不可豎立雕刻的偶像或柱像，也不可在你們的地上安放石像，向它跪拜，因為我是耶和華－你們的上帝。

「你在古時折斷你的軛，解開你的繩索，說：『我必不事奉耶和華。』你在各高岡上、各青翠的樹下屈身行淫。

又在丘壇上、山岡上、各青翠樹下獻祭燒香。

也不可為自己設立柱像，這是耶和華－你的上帝所憎恨的。」

只要承認你的罪孽，就是違背耶和華－你的上帝，在各青翠的樹下追逐外族的神明，沒有聽從我的話。這是耶和華說的

當那些日子，百姓仍在丘壇獻祭，因為還沒有為耶和華的名建殿。
