“ King Manasseh of Judah has done many detestable things. He is even more wicked than the Amorites, who lived in this land before Israel. He has caused the people of Judah to sin with his idols.

In great anger and fury the Lord uprooted his people from their land and banished them to another land, where they still live today!’

Once again the Israelites did evil in the Lord’s sight, and the Lord gave King Eglon of Moab control over Israel because of their evil.

But he was an evil king, for he did not seek the Lord with all his heart.

But you have not merely sinned as they did. You quickly surpassed them in corruption.As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, Sodom and her daughters were never as wicked as you and your daughters.

But even the people of Judah refused to obey the commands of the Lord their God, for they followed the evil practices that Israel had introduced.
