And the Lord will strike Israel, so that it will be like a reed swaying in the water. He will uproot Israel from this good land that he gave to their ancestors and scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, because they aroused the Lord’s anger by making Asherah poles.

I, the Lord, will strike down Israel. Israel will be like tall grass swaying in the water. I will pull Israel up from this good land by the roots. I gave it to their people who lived long ago. I will scatter Israel to the east side of the Euphrates River. That is because they made the Lord very angry. They made poles used to worship the female god named Asherah.

耶和华你们神所应许的一切福气怎样临到你们身上，耶和华也必照样使各样祸患临到你们身上，直到把你们从耶和华你们神所赐的这美地上除灭。你们若违背耶和华你们神吩咐你们所守的约，去侍奉别神，叩拜他，耶和华的怒气必向你们发作，使你们在他所赐的美地上速速灭亡。”

以色列王比加年间，亚述王提革拉毗列色来夺了以云、亚伯伯玛迦、亚挪、基低斯、夏琐、基列、加利利，和拿弗他利全地，将这些地方的居民都掳到亚述去了。

神也要毁灭你，直到永远；他要把你拿去，从你的帐棚中抽出，从活人之地将你拔出。细拉

却要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍下他们的木偶。不可敬拜别神；因为耶和华是忌邪的神，名为忌邪者。

“我从以色列人面前除灭亚摩利人。他虽高大如香柏树，坚固如橡树，我却上灭他的果子，下绝他的根本。

先前耶和华怎样喜悦善待你们，使你们众多，也要照样喜悦毁灭你们，使你们灭亡；并且你们从所要进去得的地上必被拔除。耶和华必使你们分散在万民中，从地这边到地那边，你必在那里侍奉你和你列祖素不认识、木头石头的神。在那些国中，你必不得安逸，也不得落脚之地；耶和华却使你在那里心中跳动，眼目失明，精神消耗。你的性命必悬悬无定；你昼夜恐惧，自料性命难保。你因心里所恐惧的，眼中所看见的，早晨必说，巴不得到晚上才好；晚上必说，巴不得到早晨才好。耶和华必使你坐船回埃及去，走我曾告诉你不得再见的路；在那里你必卖己身与仇敌作奴婢，却无人买。”

所看见的人，连万国人，都必问说：‘耶和华为何向此地这样行呢？这样大发烈怒是什么意思呢？’人必回答说：‘是因这地的人离弃了耶和华他们列祖的神，领他们出埃及地的时候与他们所立的约，去侍奉敬拜素不认识的别神，是耶和华所未曾给他们安排的。所以耶和华的怒气向这地发作，将这书上所写的一切咒诅都降在这地上。耶和华在怒气、忿怒、大恼恨中将他们从本地拔出来，扔在别的地上，像今日一样。’

“耶和华必将你和你所立的王领到你和你列祖素不认识的国去；在那里你必侍奉木头石头的神。

迦萨必致见弃；亚实基伦必然荒凉。人在正午必赶出亚实突的民；以革伦也被拔出根来。

你们若仍然作恶，你们和你们的王必一同灭亡。”

何细亚第九年亚述王攻取了撒玛利亚，将以色列人掳到亚述，把他们安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，并玛代人的城邑。这是因以色列人得罪那领他们出埃及地、脱离埃及王法老手的耶和华他们的神，去敬畏别神，

他们离开这地，地在荒废无人的时候就要享受安息。并且他们要服罪孽的刑罚；因为他们厌弃了我的典章，心中厌恶了我的律例。

因为他们在各高冈上，各青翠树下筑坛，立柱像和木偶。国中也有娈童。犹大人效法耶和华在以色列人面前所赶出的外邦人，行一切可憎恶的事。

约翰所差来的人既走了，耶稣就对众人讲论约翰说：“你们从前出去到旷野，是要看什么呢？要看风吹动的芦苇吗？

但悖逆的和犯罪的必一同败亡；离弃耶和华的必致消灭。那等人必因你们所喜爱的橡树抱愧；你们必因所选择的园子蒙羞。

他们走的时候，耶稣就对众人讲论约翰说：“你们从前出到旷野是要看什么呢？要看风吹动的芦苇吗？

亚述王将以色列人掳到亚述，把他们安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，并玛代人的城邑；都因他们不听从耶和华他们神的话，违背他的约，就是耶和华仆人摩西吩咐他们所当守的。

耶稣回答说：“凡栽种的物，若不是我天父栽种的，必要拔出来。

我要使地成为荒场，住在其上的仇敌就因此诧异。我要把你们散在列邦中；我也要拔刀追赶你们。你们的地要成为荒场；你们的城邑要变为荒凉。“你们在仇敌之地居住的时候，你们的地荒凉，要享受众安息；正在那时候，地要歇息，享受安息。

你竟行恶，比那在你以先的更甚，为自己立了别神，铸了偶像，惹我发怒，将我丢在背后。

你们抬着摩洛的帐幕和理番神的星，就是你们所造为要敬拜的像。因此，我要把你们迁到巴比伦外去。’

所以我要把你们掳到大马士革以外。”这是耶和华、名为万军之神说的。
