For I was commanded by the word of the Lord:‘ You must not eat bread or drink water or return by the way you came.’”

The Lord gave me a command. He said,‘ Do not eat bread or drink water there. Do not return the same way you came.’ ”

for so was it commanded me by the word of the Lord, saying,‘ You shall neither eat bread nor drink water nor return by the way that you came.’”

For the Lord gave me this command:‘ You must not eat or drink anything while you are there, and do not return to Judah by the same way you came.’”

for this is what I was commanded by the word of the LORD:‘ You must not eat food or drink water or go back the way you came.’”

And if it is indeed true and certain that such an abomination was committed among you,you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it, all that is in it and its livestock— with the edge of the sword.And you shall gather all its plunder into the middle of the street, and completely burn with fire the city and all its plunder, for the Lord your God. It shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.So none of the accursed things shall remain in your hand, that the Lord may turn from the fierceness of His anger and show you mercy, have compassion on you and multiply you, just as He swore to your fathers,because you have listened to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep all His commandments which I command you today, to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord your God.

You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Because you have disobeyed the word of the Lord, and have not kept the commandment which the Lord your God commanded you,but you came back, ate bread, and drank water in the place of which the Lord said to you,“ Eat no bread and drink no water,” your corpse shall not come to the tomb of your fathers.’”

And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

“ As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

And he spoke to the congregation, saying,“ Depart now from the tents of these wicked men! Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.”

So Samuel said:“ Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.

And I heard another voice from heaven saying,“ Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner— not even to eat with such a person.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
