For I was commanded by the word of the Lord:‘ You must not eat bread or drink water or return by the way you came.’”

The Lord gave me a command. He said,‘ Do not eat bread or drink water there. Do not return the same way you came.’ ”

for so was it commanded me by the word of the Lord, saying,‘ You shall neither eat bread nor drink water nor return by the way that you came.’”

Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.

If ye know these things, blessed are ye if ye do them.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.

and he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, Forasmuch as thou hast been disobedient unto the mouth of Jehovah, and hast not kept the commandment which Jehovah thy God commanded thee,but camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place of which he said to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy body shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.

And Samuel said, Hath Jehovah as great delight in burnt- offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat.

and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;
