王对神人说：“请你同我回去吃饭，加添心力，我也必给你赏赐。”

扫罗对仆人说：“我们若去，有什么可以送那人呢？我们囊中的食物都吃尽了，也没有礼物可以送那神人，我们还有什么没有？”仆人回答扫罗说：“我手里有银子一舍客勒的四分之一，可以送那神人，请他指示我们当走的路。”（

于是领他们到家里，喂上驴，他们就洗脚吃喝。

西门看见使徒按手，便有圣灵赐下，就拿钱给使徒，说：“把这权柄也给我，叫我手按着谁，谁就可以受圣灵。”彼得说：“你的银子和你一同灭亡吧！因你想神的恩赐是可以用钱买的。

我再拿一点饼来，你们可以加添心力，然后往前去。你们既到仆人这里来，理当如此。”他们说：“就照你说的行吧。”

玛挪亚对耶和华的使者说：“求你容我们款留你，好为你预备一只山羊羔。”

甚愿你们中间有一人关上殿门，免得你们徒然在我坛上烧火。万军之耶和华说：“我不喜悦你们，也不从你们手中收纳供物。”

耶利米还没有回去，护卫长说：“你可以回到沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利那里去；现在巴比伦王立他作犹大城邑的省长。你可以在他那里住在民中，不然，你看哪里合宜就可以上那里去。”于是护卫长送他粮食和礼物，释放他去了。

务要牧养在你们中间神的群羊，按着神旨意照管他们；不是出于勉强，乃是出于甘心；也不是因为贪财，乃是出于乐意；
