That same day the man of God gave a sign:“ This is the sign the Lord has declared: The altar will be split apart and the ashes on it will be poured out.”

That same day the man of God spoke about a miraculous sign. He said,“ Here is the sign the Lord has announced. This altar will be broken to pieces. The ashes on it will be spilled out.”

And he gave a sign the same day, saying,“ This is the sign that the Lord has spoken:‘ Behold, the altar shall be torn down, and the ashes that are on it shall be poured out.’”

That same day the man of God gave a sign to prove his message. He said,“ The Lord has promised to give this sign: This altar will split apart, and its ashes will be poured out on the ground.”

He gave a sign that day. He said,“ This is the sign that the LORD has spoken:‘ The altar will now be ripped apart, and the ashes that are on it will be poured out.’”

Then he gave a sign on the same day, saying,“ This is the sign which the Lord has spoken:‘ Behold, the altar shall be torn to pieces and the ashes which are on it shall be poured out.’ ”

And he gave a sign the same day, saying,“ This is the sign which the Lord has spoken: Surely the altar shall split apart, and the ashes on it shall be poured out.”

猶太人要看神蹟，希臘人尋求智慧，

基甸說：「如果我在你面前蒙恩，求你給我一個憑據，使我知道與我說話的真是你耶和華。

耶和華說：「把它丟在地上！」於是，摩西把杖丟在地上，杖變成了一條蛇。摩西連忙跑開。耶和華說：「你伸手抓住牠的尾巴！」摩西就伸手抓蛇的尾巴，蛇在他手中變回了杖。耶和華說：「這樣，他們就會相信他們祖先的上帝耶和華，就是亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的上帝，曾經向你顯現。」

當時，猶太人質問祂：「你給我們顯什麼神蹟來證明你有權這樣做？」

希西迦問：「有什麼兆頭能證明我可以再上耶和華的殿嗎？」

摩西和亞倫照耶和華的吩咐來到法老面前。亞倫把手杖丟在法老和他的臣僕面前，杖就變作蛇。

希西迦問以賽亞：「有什麼兆頭證明耶和華要醫治我，三天後我可以上耶和華的殿呢？」

當時，有幾個律法教師和法利賽人對耶穌說：「老師，我們想要看你行個神蹟。」耶穌回答說：「一個邪惡淫亂的世代想看神蹟，可是除了約拿先知的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們看。約拿在大魚腹中三日三夜，人子也要在地裡三日三夜。

你的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈必死在同一天，這就是我言出必行的記號。

我要從亞述王手中拯救你和這城，我要保護這城。』」以賽亞說：「耶和華要給你一個預兆，以證明祂言出必行。祂要使亞哈斯日晷上的日影後退十度。」果然，日影後退了十度。

「向你的上帝耶和華求個徵兆吧，或顯在天上，或顯在陰間。」但亞哈斯說：「我不求，我不要試探耶和華。」以賽亞說：「大衛的子孫啊，你們聽著！你們使人厭煩還不夠嗎？還要使我的上帝厭煩嗎？所以，主會親自給你們一個徵兆，必有童貞女懷孕生子並給祂取名叫以馬內利。

耶和華說：「縱然他們不聽你的話，不信第一個神蹟，也必定相信第二個神蹟。如果他們兩個神蹟都不相信，還是不聽你的話，你就從尼羅河裡取些水來倒在旱地上，那水就會在旱地上變成血。」

「如果你們中間出現了先知或解夢的人，要顯神蹟奇事給你們看，勸你們隨從、供奉素不認識的神明，即使他們顯的神蹟奇事應驗了，你們也不可聽從他們。因為這是你們的上帝耶和華在試驗你們，要看看你們是否全心全意地愛祂。

我必在這地方懲罰你們，我要給你們一個預兆，好叫你們知道我言出必行。這是耶和華說的。
