Then he went out and found the body lying on the road, with the donkey and the lion standing beside it. The lion had neither eaten the body nor mauled the donkey.

Then he went out. He found the body of the man of God lying on the road. The donkey and the lion were standing beside it. The lion hadn’t eaten the body. It hadn’t attacked the donkey either.

And he went and found his body thrown in the road, and the donkey and the lion standing beside the body. The lion had not eaten the body or torn the donkey.

於是，二人過來把屍體連袍子一起抬到營外，是照摩西所吩咐的。

你要喝那溪裏的水，我已吩咐烏鴉在那裏供養你。」

那些總督、欽差、省長和王的謀士一同聚集來看這三個人，見火不能傷他們的身體，頭髮沒有燒焦，衣裳也沒有變色，都沒有火燒過的氣味。尼布甲尼撒說：「沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的神是應當稱頌的！他差遣使者救護倚靠他的僕人，他們不遵王的命令，甚至捨身，在他們神以外不肯事奉敬拜別神。

我的神差遣使者封住獅子的口，叫獅子不傷我，因我在神面前無辜。王啊，在你面前我也沒有做過任何虧損的事。」王因此就甚喜樂，吩咐把但以理從坑裏拉上來。於是但以理從坑裏被拉上來，身上毫無損傷，因為他信靠他的神。王下令，把那些控告但以理的人和他們的妻子兒女都帶來，扔在獅子坑中。他們還沒有到坑底，獅子就制伏他們，咬碎他們的骨頭。

忽然，地大震動，甚至監牢的地基都搖動了，監門立刻全開，眾囚犯的鎖鏈也都解開了。

有火從耶和華面前出來，把他們吞滅，他們就死在耶和華面前。

烏鴉早上給他叼餅和肉來，晚上也有餅和肉，他又喝溪裏的水。

因為王的命令緊急，窰又非常熱，那抬沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的人都被火焰燒死。

你們哪，都當讚美耶和華：地上一切所有的，大魚和深洋，火和冰雹，雪和霧氣，成就他命令的狂風，

你們難道不懼怕我嗎？在我面前還不戰兢嗎？這是耶和華說的。我以沙為海的界限，作永遠的條例，使它不得越過。波浪洶湧，卻不能勝過；怒濤澎湃，仍無法越過。但這百姓有背叛忤逆的心，他們轉離而去。

他們藉着信，制伏了敵國，行了公義，得了應許，堵住了獅子的口，滅了烈火的威力，在鋒利的刀劍下逃生，從軟弱變為剛強，爭戰中顯出勇猛，打退外邦的全軍。

說：『你只可到這裏，不可越過；你狂傲的浪要到此止住。』
