So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions— them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.

Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.

Therefore, because the king’s command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego.

Praise the Lord from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths;Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
