Then he went out and found the body lying on the road, with the donkey and the lion standing beside it. The lion had neither eaten the body nor mauled the donkey.

二人便走近前來，就他們穿着祭司內袍的情狀、將他們抬到營外，照摩西所告訴他們的。

你要喝那谿谷裏的水；我已吩咐烏鴉在那裏供養你。』

那些總督、欽差、巡撫、和王的參謀一同聚集了來，看這三個人，見火無力傷他們的身體；他們的頭髮沒有燒焦，衣裳也沒有變色；身上又沒有火燒的氣味。尼布甲尼撒應時說：『沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的上帝是應當受祝頌的；他差遣他的使者，解救了他的僕人，就是那些信靠他的；他們挫折了王的命令，情願捨棄自己的身體，除了拜自己的上帝以外，不肯事奉任何神，不肯向任何神下拜。

我的上帝差遣了他的使者、封住獅子的口，叫獅子不傷害我；因為我在上帝面前他都見我無辜；在你面前、王啊，我也沒有行過害人的事。』當下王非常高興，便吩咐人將但以理從坑裏繫上來。於是但以理便從坑裏被繫上來，他身上並不見有任何傷損，因為他信靠他的上帝。王下了令，人就把那些誣衊控告但以理的人、連他們的兒女和妻子、都帶了來，扔在獅子坑中；他們還沒有到坑底，獅子便撲着他們，把他們的骨頭咬碎了。

驀然間起了大地震，甚至監獄的根基都搖動了，所有的門立時開了，大家的鎖鍊也都鬆掉了。

就有火從永恆主面前發出，燒滅他們，他們就死在永恆主面前。

烏鴉早晨給他叼餅和肉來，晚上也叼餅和肉來；他喝的就是那谿谷裏的水。

因為王的命令緊急，窰又非常的熱，以致火燄竟將那些把沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌抬上去的人、都給燒死了。

你們要從地上頌讚永恆主！大海獸和深洋各處，火與冰雹，雪和煙氣，執行他的命令的狂風，

永恆主發神諭說：連我、你們也不懼怕麼？在我面前、你們還不戰戰兢兢？我用沙做海的界限，永遠的定限，使它不能越犯；其水雖翻騰，卻不能得勝，其波浪雖匉訇，卻不能越過。但這些人民存着倔強悖逆的心；他們轉離而去。

因着信、他們制勝了列國，執行了公義政治，得了所應許的，堵住了獅子的口，撲滅了烈火之威力，躲脫了刀劍的鋒刃，從軟弱中得了能力，在戰爭中顯為勇猛，使外國的隊伍掉頭逃竄。

說：「你只可到這裏，不可再進；你狂傲的波浪到這裏要止息住』？
