二人遂來前、舁出營外、不脫其袍、遵摩西所命、

我之天主、遣其使者閉獅之口、使獅不傷我、因我無辜於天主前、我於王前、亦未行不善、王欣喜不勝、命取但以理出穴、遂取之出穴、其身毫無所傷、因信其天主也、王命曳訟但以理之人、與其子及妻、投諸獅穴、未至穴底、獅即囓之、獅即囓之原文作獅勝之碎碎或作斷傷其骨、

地忽大震、獄基悉動、諸門立啟、眾囚之械盡脫、

有火出自主前、焚二人死於主前、

朝則鴉為之攜餅與肉、暮亦攜餅與肉、所飲者此溪之水、

緣王命甚急、又緣火窰倍烈、擲沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌之人、反為火炎所燬、

爾曹當從地上頌揚主、蛟龍滄海、冰雹雪霧、遵主命之狂風、

主曰、爾豈可不畏我、不戰慄於我前、我定沙為海界、水不得越、波浪奔騰、不能漲溢、洪濤洶湧、不能踰越、惟斯民有違背叛逆之心、背我而去、

彼眾有信、則服敵國、行公義、獲所許、箝獅口、滅火燄之勢、避刀之鋒刃、由弱成強、於戰則勇、攻退異邦人隊伍、

命之曰、至此則可、毋得踰越、爾之波濤澎湃、至此而止、
